gallowglass
some company in japan just released a sequencer/synth package for the nintendo ds. this article explains pretty well how it works and what it can do: http://www.siliconera.com/2008/03/12/aq-in...ll-synthesizer/ here's a youtube video of it in action: i dont know how well suited it would be to making psy (given the limited range of sound complexity and effects), but it might work well as sort of a musical sketchpad while on the go--or a live performance tool (if you could use it to trigger loops on a pc). especially sweet i think is the feature allowing multiple copies on multiple DS's to synchronize. frosty
ive been looking in to 8-bit music & psytrance since i heard artax - castle of 8 blissed bits http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendid=41326513 you can get a gameboy emulator for your computer then get nanoloop or one called lsdj. the controls freaked out a bit but it did work. there is also a nanoloop style vst (haven't tryed it yet). if you have a gameboy with nanoloop on it you can sync it with other games boys, hook it up to speak n spells etc. also i think there is a midi controller hack for it now that allows you to hook up your gameboy to your keyboard for better control. check out people like nullsleep on youtube. Ormion
I've seen a lot of videos with Korg DS and apparently it is great! It sells incredibly well in Japan too. I think the price of it is around 40-50 euros.
