Melancholyman
Artist: Evan Bartholomew Title: Tidal Phases of the Moon 1 Label: Hypnos Secret Sounds (CD) So our dear friend Evan has been releasing alot of music lately. And he keeps his production quality level very high. I absolutely love all his releases except, I'm sry Evan, his crappy tech house project. So here we are with yet another release this time on Hypnos Secret Sounds. I'm sure this is a release for all ambient/chillout fans to keep an eye on. Tracklist is not yet available neither are samples but it will come and I will update accordingly. This release was ment to already be released but it seems it has been delayed, how long I cannot say. And for collectors, it seems there will be a limited edition coming ! YAY! Hurray! Tracklist: Not yet available. Samples: Not yet available 2008. A fairly recent addition to the roster of releases, but when we heard Evan's latest recording, a sharply resonant and multi-layered set of repeating loops that develop into a complex and slowly-musical drone structure, we couldn't resist it. We'll have more information and sound clips from this one soon, and it should be released in February, but here's a glimpse of the cover for now. It will be a bit of a departure for the Secret Sounds imprint -- by special agreement with the artist, this album will be released on standard pressed CDs, not CDRs, and the limited edition size will be larger. Evan Bartholomew is a composer, sound designer, and a pianist. He is best-known for his records released under the name Bluetech, and a new tech-house album under the name Evan Marc. He reserves the name "Evan Bartholomew" for his deeper, long form, and more cinematic musical expression. Recently he founded the Somnia label to release artistic ambient & minimalist recordings, his own and those of other artists, and Caverns of Time was his debut release, in 2007, under the Evan Bartholomew name. Tidal Phases of the Moon 1, coming soon on Hypnos Secret Sounds, will be his first connection to the Hypnos label, and Evan will also have a track included in the Message from a Subatomic World compilation early in 2008. Tidal Phases of the Moon 1 is a single, extended track, 62:07 in duration

I agree that tech house shit was very disappointing. Another album bought based on damion's praise at psyreviews. I'm sure people paid him to be positive sometimes. After the last 2 Evan Bartholomew albums though I'll be quite looking forward to this one
