Rotwang
The other day I was playing Solar Fields' Extended in my parents house and my dad said he liked it and asked if I could get him a copy. Unfortunately the shop from which I bought it has now sold out and I can't find anywhere else selling it. My question is, can someone recommend another album which is in a very similar vein? Melancholyman
Well leaving home is somewhat similiar but yet very different I can't think of anything that sounds like Solar Fields, he really has a unique touch to his productions. Heh, there's one cope of Extended on discogs for 130 euros damn, and the cheapest goes for 110$, also Blue Moon Station is now out of stock at Inspiral... abasio
Well Solar Fields - Extended isn't like other Solar Fields' work. It's much chilled, softer percussion, even more journey like. Artists like Aes Dana & Hol Baumann are much more beat orientated, like solar fields' leaving home, blue moon station. For albums with a similar style to Extended try Elemental Journey - Absolute Ambient.com Volume 2 Healer - Higher Grounds Cymphonic - Strataradialis Lammergeyer - Birds Of Prey Rena Jones - Driftwood all come close in style but non are quite the same as Extended. It is pretty unique for me
Drosophila
Try Aes Dana and Hol Baumann yeah as abasio said, they are not in the same vain as Extended I think you should try Oxycanta and what about Cymphonic - Strataradialis? (recommended to me by abasio not long ago) ED: ups I didn't see u there a maybe even Steve Roach - Kairos and Sync24 - Source. All very nice and soft ambient... like Extended is! but first download this one Proton Kinoun - Apeiron
