Ah, well, good thing mine came with 1.1.5. I haven't used it for any playback yet, just some location recording with the laptop, and as an extra MIDI port with my desktop.

get a lynx or similar.

"Everyone" does not know this, because they don't suck. They're not top of the line, but they don't suck. And (above firmware issue aside), MOTU makes quality hardware. They are a "bang for the buck" manufacturer, and they deliver in that regard.
