Guest russ
140K? What is the point of that? The dance floor is not that big and you can't get very far from the speakers unless you go out to the sea. Last year's 80K shredded my ears and was unpleasant to listen to at length. If they use line array speakers again, then there is going to be some serious ear damage at that party. I certainly don't need 140K and permanent tinnitus. Â But putting everybody on 1 stage is a good idea. Last year the progressive artists got shafted and both stages were boring, as the full-on was too full-on and the progressive was too progressive. Â Beautiful place though! And the chill-area is the best I've seen. Whoever did that knows what he is doing. 5.1 with chill is certainly going to be cool. Guest green mouse
did not read the interview...but with regard to the 140k sound: why is it that some dumbfucks think that loud means good? i always wonder this as in many parties i just cannot enjoy myself because my ears literally hurt from a sound that is too loud and not of good quality (crystal clear loud sound is tolerable, actually very good if you are lucky to be at a Sting concert where audio engineers compute the sound according to the venue)....and why don't they get it that one should get a very powerful sound system in order to be able to play it at 50% of its capacity so that the resulting sound is of the best possible quality? I will be scared if the sound at samothraki is really 140 K and if there is only one stage....because the stage is small (i've been there both years and I know the capacity of the location), and it will be way to crouded and there will be nowhere to escape from the loudness of the sound.... and both years the sound was not of good quality....they should invest in quality sound, not powerful sounds.... just my opinion.... if anyone knows some big party/festival organizers, please give them this advise: for the sound system, they should contact the people who make the sound for Sting concerts.....this is, real professionals. we will all benefit if they do.
