Guest Daniel
I finally got all of my psy-trance cd's back from my friend so I have been able to listen to my music again. The only Astral Projection album I have is "In The Mix" which is all there hits on a 2 CD set. I thought it would be a good place to start for getting the feel of Astral Projection. The problem was when I first listened to the album it seemed repetitive (all the songs sounded VERY similiar) and the songs just weren't that great. Well today I listened to it last night and it got better...then I listened to it yet again and it got even better....I'm listening to it right now and it's AWESOME...I guess it just took me a while to "get" Astral....but now I like what I'm hearing. So my question for you is, which artists made an unmemorable first impression on you but later on, after getting to know the material (the songs), suddenly grew on you to the point of auditory pleasure? Guest Ktrance
Infected, Hallucinogen, and some of Technossomy Usually I find that ones that takes longest to 'get' are the ones that you cherish the longest. -Ktrance

Guest Tripster
I exactly know what you mean... This "growing on you" feeling is wonderful ) Actually, I happens to me mostof the time cause the cd's I prefere are almost never the ones that I immediatly like. Guest Tripster
sorry, I meant: "it happens to me most of the time".

Guest basi
Tastes can change completely... if you will believe this, for many years I despised Etnica's sound (though I enjoyed the full on Pleiadians project)... many other artists such as Sandman never struck me as any good until months or years later I GOT IT and everything >CLICKED:)
Guest r2d2
I'd say Juno Reactor and a lot of stuff from Psy Harmonics took some time to grow on me but once it did I couldn't get enough of it:)
Guest Theory of Chaos
My last big surprise....Exogenic team...first listenning...hummm...sound strange...second listenning ....hum hum...very strange......third listenning...it is always fucking strange...I'm at my 9999 listenning so I think I like it...hehe...awesome music...very intelligent and unusual... Otto Matta
When I first got Juno Reactor's "Transmissions" I thought it was pure crap. It almost got thrown away a couple of times. A couple years later I recognized it for the brilliant album it was. Otherwise, Etnica has always taken the longest to grow on me. Equator took forever, and has become one of my favorites. I still have hope that Nitrox will eventually grow on me, given a decade or two. Hehehe. There's a flip side to this whole thing, too: How about that music that clicks with you completely the first time, you think it's the best thing ever, and then it grows flimsy and weak very quickly? That happened to me with Infected. I try to be very careful with albums I love when I first hear them, but it's difficult because I love loving music. Guest Tripster
I think I started to like "the Finger" this morning. Before I really found it "cheesy" and disappointing. But I still believe Unusual Suspect leaves a rather cold feeling. Do you think it's because I only listen to it at home ?
Guest Moonquake
I think it can also have the opposite effect on you...there are some bands I found great when I first listened to them and after a a certain time, I realise that it is all the same kind of stuff, artists like Alien Project, GMS, Talamasca...ok I agree that in what they produce it is the top quality...but I didnt found them really innovative...I mean it is the track to play or to listen to if you expect a certain type of music...it always have the same effect on dancefloors...not surprising!!! But I respect what they do and i like to listen to their respective albums...I just want some innovations!!!! Boom!

Guest Quazzi
Etnica, Pleiadians, shpongle, celtic cross and Chi-ad album Anno Domini. I'm still not listening to Anno Domini, but for some reason i have feeling that i'll like very much this album in the future. :-)
Guest elko
well the 'great unknown' by koxbox and 'mamamatrix most mysterious' by nervasystem and aether are two of my favourite trance albums ever, both of which i didn't get 1st time around but the more i listened the more i fell in love with these albums...conversely i realyy like infected mushroom's 'the gathering' when i first heard but i think it gets worse with every listen, i think they have to be the most overrated act there is, silly electric opera music
Strumpling
Posford, Infected, Makyo, Juno Reactor, Ozric Tentacles..... there are more I'm sure, but those are the ones that come to mind
Guest aricz
hallucinogen - the lone deranger, it still grows on me haha, fucking 5 years after release! Anyway, hux-flux - cryptic crunch were the first album to give me that feeling where all the pieces got into place. Suddenly everything i listenened to had hundreds of new dimensions. KABOOM. It should be said i sat with a good friend of mine, majorly stoned and fucked, listening to hux-flux on full volume for the first time. hahahaha, my friend sat jumping in my sofa while i was holding my hair and almost tearing it apart and just yelled "HOOOOLY FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST INSANE FUCKED UP MOTHERFUCKING MUSIC EVER!!!*" and laughing alot. Or that insane metalic alien melody in #6 on the hux-flux album, at the end, or, the take-off part of that track, where my friend just jumped out of the sofa, ran to the door, opened it and YELLED "MOTTTTTTTHERFUCCCCCCCCCCCKERRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" hahahahahahahahahaha, god damn, i laughed to tears. Yes... hehe, good post.. bwaha It's called musical enlightment, you discover new ways to percieve the music. One hell'of a experience:)
Guest Daniel
AHHHHH, How can you call Infected Mushroom's music BAD? The Gathering wasn't there best album, but Classical Mushroom was awesome and B.P. Empire was kick ass too (even though it was very different from there original style).....anyway.... Some other artists that took me a while to get used to are: Etnica Kox Box SUN Project Psycraft Grrrrr.....Infected is NOT bad!!!
