abasio
but theres a difference between pop listeners that buy an album to only listen to one songs and an album with 6 good songs, and 3 bad... no? and you only listen to album from start to finish? you have the time for that? you never just put stuff on shuffle? for me, really not lots of artist im abvle to listen to an whole album without getting tired of him... so with the way you listen to albums, i understand, but really, dont be to harsh on you if you put songs you like on artist that made some boring song poor u, must be hard, so lets say you want to listen to and the day turned to night.. you have to listen to the whole album? hahaahhaaahaha I think a mix of whta both you guys are thinking is better, sometimes you need to listen to the full album to get the right context, sometimes you need shuffle to get some random (but often just as good or even better) context. Dont limit yourself, hear everything as much as possible is the way!

psytones
I have no idea which is The best PsyChill album, but I have to agree on the quoted ones below: VA - Quality Relaxation (Chill Tribe records) Ishq - Orchid Hallucinogen - In Dub (Mixed by Ott) Cell - Phonic Peace 2.) PhuturePrimitive - Sub Conscious 4.) Shpongle - Are you Shpongled[/size] Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92 - yes, the unmastered version. FSOL - Lifeforms Shpongle - First 2 albums Bluetech - All albums OTT - Blumenkraft (more dub than chill I guess) H.U.V.A. Network - Distances (i can't beleive noone mentioned it...the best album ever ) Adham Shaikh - Fusion Varied and far from the generic standard psychill sound, and yet familiar vibes. Boards of Canada - Geodaddi (i think that's more than fair play for this category) * Cell - Phonic peace * Shulman - In search of a meaningful moment ... I also love Shulaman's Soundscapes And Modern Tales quote name='fluffymushi' date='Jul 16 2009, 02:18 AM' post='939021' suddenly: trolls trolling trolls /quote why commercial? AYS is commercial? nono, AYS is the anti-these of commercial, AYS is globally loved, big difference ;D good words . :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: I'm suprised so few people mentioned Cell's Phonic Peace. The samples might have been used and reused by a lot of artists in different genres, but the way Cell has made this really makes me smile and feel good. I'm actually concidering it to be one of the best ChillOut albums of all time, impo. Also it should be mentioned that the Tsunami Benefit release from Organic Records is a Huge gathering of king/Queen ChillOut tracks. It's a beautiful release in all, but my words of praise is for the Chill CD. I guess I should also say that I like T.I.P. - Mystical Experience and V/A - Mystery of the Yeti, a lot Peace'n'Chill

psytones
Mentioned several times... is it strange that i love Entheogenic but hate AYS? Are You Shpongled isn't as easy listening music like Entheogenic, and it has a bery distinctive vibe going on, maybe it's not yours I also love Entheogenic and hate AYS, so there's at least 2 of us. So what about TotI? Though to this topic, I guess it's too up-beat at larger parts . I don't like Entheogenic (the music artist) much, something doesn't feel completly right for me, guess I don't like it's cheese and annoying India samples (listen to Cell - Phonic Peace, will nock your socks right off an lay you to bed), and haven't been that impressed with it's trick of magic. Ott's Yogurt mix is woaw btw!) Had a friend a few years back who loved Entheogenic, cooked aya and listened each day . crazy nutter, cool though, very Terrence McKenna smart and inspired Btw, heard Androcell? For some reason I've placed these two in the same room, but as I can remember, I quit like Androcell, trippy stuff with beauty Forgot to mention this in my list: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Twelve/release/79687
Baron K Roolenstein
Cell is pretty good, but in my mind he is blackened because I was annoyed at cliche sample use and re-releasing tracks with mostly filler between them.... I need to listen again and form a better judgment. Androcell is trippy and melodic... I love some parts, but the more I listen I think it's lacking a bit in the end. Still top stuff. Never bothered to listen to the other Shpongle albums... I couldn't force myself through AYS, that just turned me off completely... when I have so much other music to listen to, I doubt I'll ever get to them. psytones
I can defiently understand your blackening on Phonic Peace's usage of samples that has been used both here and there. But for me personally it's a good gathering, and I absolutlly adore the album. i didn't get the chance to listen to Androcell that much since it was only heard at a friends place. heh guess so, enjoy the music you have and the music you don't will find it's way to you through time. Cant listen to Shpongle its just so without any soul easy listening, nothing in it that makes me move in any way, somehow feels lifeless. Entheogenic has something very unique, difficult to put it into words, I guess the music talks to me in that way. .
