This time around the towering powerhouse of Pogo has had a hand in the production of all the tracks included on this world class collaboration album. Collaborating with the cream of London based producers, there is no mistaking that this a collection of party anthems of the highest quality and delivers the much needed Psy Trance effect that parties are crying out for. The music speaks for itself as do the names involved, Tristan, Prometheus, Dickster (Green Nuns, AMD...), Laughing Buddha (ex-Cosmosis), Aphid Moon, Lucas (Tip Records), and new comers Chameleon and Master Blasters (the later being a new project for Pogo) plus a solo track of Pogo's too. Deep and triptastic, Wingmakers (Beyondwards and Upwards) is packed full of acid monsters, snarling rhythms, schmangled samples and heads-down slamming good times all ensuring the Wingmakers are set to soar once more. Review: 1) This track for me defines the UK trance sound at the moment: heavy acidic build ups with a totally hypnotic breakdown, reverb-ing arpeggios good use of samples, sweeping pads... it basically delivers on all fronts =] 2) Next one up is Prometheus & pogo with A Wonderful Feeling. I love Corridor of Mirrors and this track has that distinctive Prometheus sound we've come to know with very nice build into a multi layered hard driven hook. Turns quite dark near 6mins then picks up into a springy wind down.. 3) Tristan&Pogo roll in with A different world =D If you're familiar with Tristan’s sound on compilations (not mentioning his last album) then you'll be glad to hear its shining thru on this track. "Just what is LSD and what does it do?" goes the sample which evolves into a crunchy acidic hook. One thing about this track is its sense of openness to it, the progression isn’t forced and the end result is pretty awesome! Need more pogo&tristan collabs plz! 4) I don’t know what it is about Laughing Buddha but for some reason I always get the feeling he holds back a little. Maybe its Comosis days flash back =/ this track is highly atmospheric with a slow progression which doesn’t seem to want to go anyplace fast, doesn’t really do it for me 5) Taking a break from AMD, Aphid Moon combines with Pogo to release Total Reality on us a tight track which leads off very well from the previous one. This track has all the hallmarks of a system/floor slammer. Crystal clear sound with a staggered melody not overused at all and a great sweeping build up into a full-on hypnotic breakdown. 6) The title says it all really Space Cake is one of those you hear someplace, think its okay, then hear it on a sound system and realise you need to listen to it again on ur mp3, and then u fall in love with it <3 measured moving with great use of stuttered effects rising into a spongy hook the end brings out a sublime melody that ends far too quickly imo. 7) DAMN! This track nice produced by a side project of Pogo! jejejeje - veeeery hypnotic, deep rolling and funky! The melody and breakdown just has to be heard, there’s no reasoning with it!! Very distinctive no doubt this one will come out to jangle ur cells at quite a few outdoor parties.. 8) Next up Pogo's solo track Imagination. very nice solo work this - the track up until midway could do with some more tightness but then it turns a corner and shifts into a fluidly built heavily textured rhythm which then swings into a drop which shud make u think "holy crap where'd that come from!" 9) Argh! we're at 9? ALREADY?! OK The Hoff is up next [no not Dustin or The Hasselhoff, ALBERT!] by Dick Trevor&Pogo =] this track is a pacy journey thru a world of fast bass riffs full-on layers and a build which should get u stomping 'I LOVE LSD' in Morse code with your feet, over and over till u get told to stoppit by the bouncer. Its one of those Great compiling and production by Pogo and the guys at NANO you can certainly hear the different styles on this one but with the added Pogo touch Id class this as a pretty much essential buy if you like the UK sound and aside from the lower powered Laughing Buddha track the other 8 certainly pick up the slack. Great album! :posford:

WJPorter
By track 7 I thought "Wow! This reminds of the first psytrance party I went to many years ago. It has all the elements that made me fall for psytrance and that I haven't heard in a while." One of my top 5 favorite albums.
Laserflip
Awesome! This us UK Psy at it's best. Drug samples, highly psychedelic acid grooves, in-your-face but still sublime. Very British in all aspects Space Cake, Wonderful Feeling and A Different World are my favs.
