needle ninja Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I am considering getting this. (if I get the money) Any on here use it? What do you think? I like the idea of a complete package (software and audio interface). Quote
Goa Bill Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 What exactly are you looking for in a DAW? Because MIDI/VST capabilities of this system are limited Quote
needle ninja Posted June 13, 2008 Author Posted June 13, 2008 Already have Sonar. This is what I am looking at. Quote
Malevol3nt Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Sonar and ProTools are like fruits & vegetables. It's really hard to change to protools if youre too used to the way sonar works. I'd rather recommend Cubase, I've recently made the switch, and I find it quite easy to get used to. Still have a small million mini-projects in sonar that i need to transform into cubase, keep some, delete some. But so far I like cubase Quote
Otto Matta Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Yeah, Cubase is great if you like bi-polar girlfriends, because that's what it is. I love my bi-polar girlfriend! Quote

needle ninja Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 More for the audio interface then software, but I know I like Samplitude. I used it to record back when I sequenced everything on my Yamaha ie. 1998-2002. I need an iterface with analog audio I/O, digital audio I/O, midi I/O and I like the headphones out too. Don't need many ins and I think I'll only use 4 outs for two sets of speakers. Quote
Otto Matta Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Care to explain what exactly does your bi-polar girlfriend do? Well, she just exhibits some really odd behavior sometimes, and spontaneously. Like crashing for no apparent reason, or she doesn't like a plug-in. But she's definitely a sophisticated lady, so I don't mind so much. Quote

But really, this lady I've fallen in love to I think (and it's gonna last for a long while) Quote
