Guest kingdok
No matter how hard I try, I can't work either of the new Chi-AD tracks (Liquid Neon Sky/Book of Eden) into a set. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. After many failed attempts at getting the beats of the Chi-AD record matched with those of the incoming record, I tried bringing the incoming record in over a few other tracks and, hey presto, they beatmatched fine. All of these tracks are in 4/4 time. I KNOW I haven't suddenly forgotten how to beatmatch. Conclusion drawn : There's something about that Chi-AD record that won't allow me to use it in a mix...which stinks becuase it's such a great record. I guess I can take satisfaction in knowing I own it and can listen to it on my home stereo, but damn if it isn't frustrating. Do any of you have records that, for whatever freakish reason, just don't seem to want to cooperate? I need to know I'm not going insane here. Guest Jikkenteki
Weird, I have had no problems working these tracks into my sets. I've personally found either tracks works well towards the end and I tend to bring which ever track I am using in very early on in the track so that in set terms, the set is starting to peak and then it sort of pulls back for a few seconds and then starts taking off even higher (useless description I am sure, but...). Tatsu
i just can tell you about the liquid neon sky track that it changes its bpm during the track. that's why it doesn't really work. if got a beatcounter and found that out with it. Guest basi
Yep, LNS has a variable BPM... it makes for a good challenge trust me, it can be done, you just have to be very smooth with a pitch slider. As far as I know Book of Eden has no variable BPM however. PS thats why I say LNS is good for a finale the bpm doesn't shift much near the beginning, but a LOT near the end. Guest kingdok
Tatsu // THANK YOU!!! I thought I was losing my mind... Basi // Yeah, I eventually got Book of Eden to work when I got frustrated with Liquid Neon Sky and flipped the record over. Man, what a relief. 'Guess I'll just have to get creative.
