Guest psy druid Posted February 18, 2003 Share Posted February 18, 2003 i know a thread has already been posted bellow but i had to emphasise it, tsunami was the shittist, WANK,FUCK,FUCK,WANK party i have ver been to. even though i m english i am living in baltimore at the moment an decided to go up to ny to see astral projection and parasense. here are soem easy to read bullit points to make sure people never go to tsunami again: 1. parasense didn't turn up 2. astral projection were shite (played eurphoria, and no it wasn't goa trance) 3. lots of gay people all over each other all over the dance floor, in your face 3. too many glow sticks, white gloves and 'ravers' 4. no decor 5. in a brand new modern club with oppressive security and people walking around cleaning the floor all night long 6. break dancing competitions on the dance floor 7. poor tunes. to use an analogy, to a psy trancer this was the same as the stars and stripes being burnt for an american. please take my advice, and never go to a tsunami party. i heard this advice but did not listen. thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fucking Crap! When your emphasis is melodic (Astral), you’re going to get ravers with glow sticks and break-dancers on E! Take it from me I live in LA and am forced to co-exist with these sorts of folk who come to parties for the E and not the music! They call themselves Sailormoon and Tigger the bouncy raver for christ sake! Don’t get me wrong I have their first albums on vinyl and loved their music for a while. I have nothing but respect for their contribution to all this but c'mon God is a dj is melodic over kill! If you like that sort of thing sorry to have shared my opinion but I like to think that we advance as a culture by moving on to new things, sounds etc. Part of who is to blame for shit like that is promoters who raid EVERY party on the planet with their flyers with only the interest of making 32 bucks off of anyone who wants to go! Oppressive security is another problem in itself! We are not playing Hip Hop or Drum and bass and aren’t packing guns into clubs because you "gotta be strapped"! Just this year at a local drum and bass party thrown in a shitty neighborhood someone was killed for bumping into another guy whose friends waited outside to shoot him in the face! These are parties where security is A NECESSITY! Well I hope you find the truth in the fact that a good party is'nt allways the one with a flyer the size of a billboard.
