Skytrancer Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I still hope but there's less than 50% of chance to see an album one day I think. Quote
Procyon Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Found this recent video in youtube. If I heard this by chance, I'd swear it was be Tiesto or Corsten. Perhaps they're looking for a new path, towards a more totally clubby sound. By the reaction from the crowd, it seems it's working. Good luck. Quote
Shpongled247 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Omg... That is just... Wow.. I didn't think they had gone that far that way...just going to pretend I never watched that. Quote
radi6404 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I can't even watch it from Germany, too sad, sad Germany. It is very dissapointing Astral go in that direction. Quote
Procyon Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 What Radi? You're in ultra efficient Germany and can't watch this short vid? Can't believe that. I am in ultra inefficient Brazil and it pops up as fast as a pop-up irritating ad. Quote
Dolmot Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Err...that's Burning Up which was released in 2000. Hardly a sign of a "new direction" if it dates back two years before Amen (which still contained fairly deep stuff, by some definition). I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from a one-minute clip of them playing a track from 2000. I believe it's been fairly common a number in their sets, after all. Quote
radi6404 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Amen is much better than it's reputation. many tracks are good, Anything is possible, 100 000 years from now, Amen, The Nexus, Technodrome, the rest was not that great but those tracks were decent. Quote
technosomy Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 i don't think the 2 astral projection fans on this site want to hear my 2 cents worth on the vid! Quote
technosomy Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 it is forbidden in Germany yeah sure what ever radi! Quote
radi6404 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 What do you mean whatever, don't annoy me technosoomy, the video is not allowed since it might contain music that is not allowed by the GEMA, that is what it is saying to me in German, when I try to play it. Quote

Djuna Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Hahaha funny, people don't recognise one of the best trance tracks of Astral Projection, maybe you guys are not one of the best fans after all huh? Quote
Shpongled247 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 That track is just really bad no matter when it released haha. Glad I avoided their later albums now after hearing that.. Ouch. Quote

Indeet, burning up is a great Astral projection track and it is anything bbut Tiesto like, don't insult them and that masterpeae, someone who does not like Burning up is not a full Astral fan, just like shponglee247 Quote
Richpa Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I agree shponglee247 is so untrue, he even likes more Shpongle than mighty Hallucinogen. Quote

Ormion Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Burning Up is superb. It's just not Goa, but Trance. Also it was never a test by AP to catch a more commercial sound. It was a collaboration and tribute at the same time with/to Trilithon, one of the artists that inspired them. Quote
Shpongled247 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 So you don't like Axis V0.99? Well I don't mind that track actually. Perhaps i worded it a bit strongly. Quote
Guest D N H Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Amen was a good decent album with very good moments. In The Mix compilation's new tracks & versions were also very good. Old times! Quote
radi6404 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Indeet, In the mix had impressive tracks, Virtual booster, Soundform Remix etc. Amen was also beautiful and I wish there would be more like that, Technodrome, 1000 000 years from now, The Nexus, Chaos, all those tracks are great and a bit lighter than the usual Astral style so it would be great if there would be mroe tracks like that.
