WillOvSeraphim
Out Now ! James Murray ~ '[ Where Edges Meet ]' :: Ultimae Records Debut album [ Where Edges Meet ] from British composer James Murray subtly evokes the rumble and clatter of London's industrial wastelands, leading us to its secret gardens and wide parks with crystalline, haunting melodies. As a gifted multi-instrumentalist James has intelligently merged the organic and synthetic realms into delicate and daring soundscapes - all vividly evocative of sense and space. [ Where Edges Meet ] is an intimate and ambiguous album, a wistful playground for broken breakbeats, jazz inflections, sideways dub and avant-garde electronica James Murray is a London-based electroacoustic sound artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist. His productions weave together elements of electronica, downtempo, jazz and dub in emotive explorations of how the organic and electronic interact. All at once the city and the middle of nowhere, JM's recursive themes draw hi-tech sound design, live instrumentation and lush pastoralism together in a sonic world where nothing is ever quite as it seems. 9 colourful tracks to delight your ears and challenge your mind: 01. amphiton
This really does sound good, I've had a few listens and after a week gave it another try in headphones lying on the bed — it felt like some old special album you have filled with your memories, associations, you feel like home listening to it. I wonder what happens to this album with time, maybe it will indeed have a special place in my discography. In short — edges met successfully.
