Guest Jeff
Hi all, I feel like spending a few euros on psy releases those days. I received X-Dream "Radio" and Etnica "Alien Protein" reissues yesterday, great great stuff (stating the obvious, I know...). Over the years, I've grown tired of the typical israeli sound, and I'm neither in the minimal nor full-on developments of today's psy trance (a bit finicky or narrow-minded perhaps...). Anyway, could anyone recommend some refreshing acts, new or old, with very good quality production ? Like old Planet BEN, Hux Flux, KoxBox, to name a few famous bands with very original sound ? thx ! Guest mechanicom
try the nano records comp, emergence. Great psychedelic sounds from South Africa.
Guest Navigator
also Cosmosis' Intergalactic and Contact or Mumbo Jumbo's Speaking In Tongues are pieces of good quality music
Guest Jeff
mechanicom, your idea seems pretty good ! From the psyreview : "If you’re pissed off at the way you keep getting asked to fork out for the same old formulaic shit all the time, then wake up to this." Seems to perfectly fit what I'm searching for ! I'll check Mumbo Jumbo also ! thx !

Guest --==1400MiLeS==--
I also don't like progressive/minimal and neither the recent breed of full-on GMS clones. Stuff that is worth playing lately in my book: Weird Alchemy-Weird Alchemy (bit like koxbox but better imo) James Reipas-This is not in fashion Flying Scorpions-Lipoptena Cervi Nervasystem-13 Amp Fusion
Guest Jeff
hehe, through your different reviews here and there 1400MiLeS, I'd already noticed that we had pretty close tastes for psy trance. ;-) Thanks for your rec' ! i'll check them asap ! Nice week-end to all. J.
