needle ninja
I have a fasttrack Ultra now and it has been a good interface for me overall but I have recently had to go though a lot to get audio output from it. The light goes on and it should be on, but the panel shows no connection. What I did that worked last time was to unplug it and then replug it and turn it on. Are USB interfaces all kind of wierd like this or do I just have a bad driver?

Are USB interfaces all kind of wierd like this or do I just have a bad driver? My M-Audio usb interface do the same thing.. It plays the volume really low and only on the left speaker (almost half the time when i start my windows) I just need to press the power-off button on the interface, leave it Off for a couple of seconds and then turn it back on.. Then it works So sounds like we have the same problem... I'm suspecting Windows VISTA to be the culprit
Lemmiwinks
if it's any comfort, having a Firewire interface isn't any better... for some reason my computer just decided one day not to recognize my Behringer FCA202 anymore. I've tried plugging and unplugging it a million times, restarting the computer, reinstalling the drivers, EVERYTHING and it just doesn't work (although the light on the interface says it's connected). I guess the best way to go is just to have an internal card...
needle ninja
Well the last few days I've just plain left it on (with the computer off). That seems to work just fine (for now) and the blue light isn't too annoying on all night. If I had a money tree growing in the backyard, I'd get an RME multiface.
