Trolsk Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Some of you might know Zomby as a dubstep artist, but his debut album, Where were u in '92?, is old school breakbeat and hardcore, and it's excellent nostalgic music! He claims that "this album was produced using 92 studio techniques using the Akais2000 and Atari ST with Cubase". I don't know or care if that's the truth, all that matters is that it's a great album. Any similar old school recommendations would be appreciated. I had some old tapes with some great breakbeat, but I've lost them, and I would love to listen to some of it again. Quote
Lemmiwinks Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 ah yes I've heard that one on the radio but I thought it was just the radio DJ spinning some old tracks... While we're at it, Armand Van Helden made a nice retro breakdance/ acid house album a while ago, Ghettoblaster, here's a track from there: A Track Called Jack Quote
