Aleph Zero Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Bluetech- The Divine Invasion (AlephZ13) Release Date: April 20th, 2009 E-flyer with info & samples: http://www.aleph-zero.info/media/AlephZ13/...r/bluetech.html Release page: http://www.aleph-zero.info/AlephZ13release.html Finally it is here- the eagerly awaited third Bluetech album on Aleph Zero- The Divine Invasion. Three years in the making, The Divine Invasion offers an irresistible mix of spacey dubby beats, dreamy atmospheres and unique compositions. The same irresistible mix that made the New York Times label Bluetech as “one of the best ambient artists” following the release of his previous album- Sines and Singularities. In The Divine Invasion, Bluetech, a master of downtempo electronica, goes deeper and farther into new uncharted territories. From his distinct mellow oceanic ambience, emerge playful complex sound games and subtle yet sweeping currents of emotion, amalgamating into wordless songs. Bluetech is a master in the art of creating danceable music full of ambience and ambient music that makes you dance, as The Divine Invasion perfectly proves. Hosted here are electronic music pioneers Mirror System (aka System 7), progressive trance dancefloor masters Ace Ventura and Lish, and Aleph Zero’s own Eitan Reiter. Track list: 1. Finding the Future by Looking Backwards 2. Lost in an Imagined Labyrinth 3. Probability Tree 4. Rite of the Dragonfly 5. Swimming in a Feverdream 6. Holding Space 7. Honey in the Heart 8. Ace Ventura & Lish- The Light (Bluetech remix) 9. Even the Stones Sing 10. Bluetech & Mirror System- Living Time 11. healium Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Sines and Singularities made me think Bluetech is moving toward a more commercial and less psychedelic sound - hopefully this album isn't further in that direction... Quote

kilgoretrout Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Meh! Not so good I hoped for :/ Phoenix Rising was much better. Downloaded it from emusic.com, listened to the first 1/2... really liked it, thought it seemed a little "light in the loafers", but there is probably more depth there than I was hearing 1st time through. So I turned it off then, intending to come back to it another day (this was yesterday) but did not yet, and just tonight Echoes radio show was playing something that made me think "Man that is great sounding! Gota find out what it is..." and so I had to pull up the playlist, and low and behold it was "Living Time", second to last, track 10, from this CD, and it was a very deep, complex and soaring track... really a very very nice listen! Perhaps this is just one of those records that does not impress at first. but you need to play it through a couple times without being hypercritical and over-analytic, and let it have its way with you and soak in and get under your skin... then later you find you really love it. I played it from start to end yesterday. And it was like I didn't even hear it was on. So far this album is very forgetable. Quote
