Does the quality of an audio file is affected by importing/exporting the file many times?

(Without change anything of course).

For example:

I import a wav file in cubase. Then I export it again replacing the old file. Then I import it again, then export it, then import, then export etc.

Will the final wav have the same quality as the original as long I haven't changed anything (volume, eq etc.)?

if it's uncompressed, and the media hasn't been affected by corruption

then it should be exactly the same

as there isn't any resampling needed
