Ormion Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Does the quality of an audio file is affected by importing/exporting the file many times? (Without change anything of course). For example: I import a wav file in cubase. Then I export it again replacing the old file. Then I import it again, then export it, then import, then export etc. Will the final wav have the same quality as the original as long I haven't changed anything (volume, eq etc.)? Quote
Ormion Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 have you tried listening it? Yep I can't hear a difference tbh Quote
Kryll Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 if it's uncompressed, and the media hasn't been affected by corruption then it should be exactly the same as there isn't any resampling needed Quote
needle ninja Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Digital data is reproducable infinate times without loss of quality. --> bad for media giants... Quote
Veracohr Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Why do you keep importing and exporting it? Quote
Ormion Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 Why do you keep importing and exporting it? I don't. I'm just curious. Quote
