Congrats to both Suntrip and Grandmaster Jannis :clapping: Not really "real goa", some of the most "fake" sounding stuff you can find. Goa music was never about being on the top of charts, it is being bastardized and commercialized, not resurrected.
supergroover
what is fake about it? And what is 'real' goa? Goa in the 90's was more top of the chart than it is now. It was even on mtv.

(I just hope it won't get out of stock, before I buy it )

frozen dream
astral is more about commerce than filteria imo
ariScotle
everyone stop hatin' support the artists and stop worrying about who puts who on what chart besides, it's not anyone's fault if they end up being popular show some love, like what you like, and don't worry what someone else thinks of it love AP, the Filteria record is nice and I do hope there is a real Goa revival anyway - my 2 cents peace

Yeah, Filteria is so commercial that all the teens listen to all over the world and all his tracks are on radio all day long and I saw a big interview of him on tv the other day. bwhale
A few hundred diehard Suntrip fans. Face it: the music is a watered down Pleiadians copycat. The music is generic and boring. I listened to it twice today and can't really remember anything else about it. I also listened to Trilithon - Trance Dance 128 twice for the first time today and can remember all the tracks from that quite vividly... made 18 years ago and much more interesting, despite poor sound quality. A big difference beetwen your first and your second reply. I haven't really checked out Filteria's last album, so I can't judge it. But in general I agree with you: newschool goa is less memorable than the tracks from the old era. I guess there's not that much focus on the lead melodies? Hm.. imo at least. Anyway Filteria has some "killer" tracks: Mind Expansion, Rotate To Vibrate, Snuggling Snail; to name just a few I remembered. There's a lot of quality newschool Goa which I don't like just because of the fact that it lacks unconcrete and catchy melodies! However, Filteria has some super-catchy and original melodies, especially in his last album! Just check out the final part of Earthrise. The bassline-keychanges in combination with that blasting melody...woohoo!!
