Idiots and Angels

I volunteered to work at the Marylhurst University Filmfest last night and I got to see this movie by Oscar nominated animator Bill Plympton, who is from oregon, and I was totally enthralled. It is an amazing work of art that I recommend to any movie fan.

I had seen one or two of Bill Plympton's short films at animation festivals before, but it had been a long time and I barely recognised the name so I didn't know what to expect. The movie is about an asshole guy who wakes up one morning to find he is starting to grow wings.

I watched most of this movie standing up (as an usher) and it was still worth it.
