I'm pretty sure attending huge gigs and festivals (in europe) requires much more money and energy if you're American than if you're situated downtown europe.

Hey Androcell, how much time a week do you have available for making music? Or do you just make time for them sweet sounds? :)

Phutureprimitive is one of my favorite ambient artists and is from here in Portland, Oregon. First and only album so far is called Subconscious, I highly recommend it. I will be seeing him perform a live set in June, opening for the Shpongle DJ set... it's going to be phenomenal :posford:

Hey...another psytrancer in Portland? :posford:

I just saw that the booking for that Shpongle show in Portland yesterday. I think I'll go, since I've never seen them, but I'm only sort of interested. I'm disappointed that there's no Hallucinogen show in Portland. It looks like there's a Hallucinogen live/Shpongle DJ set in Colorado a week later, but only a Shpongle DJ set in Portland.

I've only been to a couple of shows here in the Portland, OR area, but it seems all really fast darkpsy and fullon.

America is rock & roll from the beginning

south country style, to rock, metal and etc...

different culture, different influences

I'm pretty sure we invented the modern psychedelic sub-culture.

I think blues is far enough removed from its African roots to be considered American-born, and rock & roll grew out of blues.

That makes about sense about the blues, but I always thought rock's origins bounced back and forth across the Atlantic, with Skiffle music in Britain being one of it's precursors.

Didn't house music originate in America?

Yeah, you're right. I didn't even think about that. Chicago and Detroit were the the major House players.

He asked "what are the great names" guys, , not the crap names.

Oh PLEASE... You should be less humble, after having won the 2008 vote for best downtempo psy of the year.

More confidence will only bring more ooompphhff to your future sounds, and I can't wait to hear them.
