simorq Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Auditory Illusion? Would that work with 8 speakers around the dancefloor? Yeah binaural recordings are cool... For those of you who don't know what it is, it's when they use a dummy head with a microphone in each ear to do the recording. Quote
Penzoline Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Auditory Illusion? Would that work with 8 speakers around the dancefloor? Oh my god that is freaking awesome! Quote

Laserflip Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 Maybe IDM/Glitch or Dub Techno influenced. Quote
psytimeofmylife Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 psyschranz - absolutely no melody, not even voice samples. And instead of a kick, there will be laser sounds. ( I hope not ) Quote
Charlie Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 But even those who made good music have to evolve.I think all artists evolve but the best artists are those who evolve their own individual style and are nott concerned with what sound is currently in fashion. Quote
Insejn Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Interesting idea BUT there used to be one compilation from Timecode in THIs register and the it didn't encounter its public... Yes, sadly. It's still one of the best CDs I have. Any category. Quote
karan129 Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I'd say Hardstep/Darkstep mixed with Space Tribe like full-on or really fast Furious like sounds. Wicked broken bass, relentless drumloops and crazy, twisted psy sounds can go to the next level. I've tried to find really hard, fast Psy DnB but whatever I'd heard is definitely more on the morning, uplifting side. Upbeats does come close to this sound such as this release Smash Planet Earth http://www.discogs.com/Upbeats-The-Evol-In...rth/master/7481 Then Bad Company - Fill Me In Also try out the title track from Evol Intent's Era of Diversion album at the 1:45 mark there are some crazy, squelchy, driving acid sounds. From the same album, The Awkward Rhythm of Dance is also spacey stuff. Ofcourse there's Nam Shub of Enki, I liked this track a lot. Nam Shub of Enki meets Kiki.ILL - _Clickher The track Breach by BSE is a beautiful melodic track. Raiden - Fallin also merits a listen. If you liked the tracks above, try out the Mixmag mix, John B - Trance 'n' Bass. Quote
Musicoman Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Auditory Illusion? Would that work with 8 speakers around the dancefloor? very interresting still don't know about the 8 speakers thought.... Quote
PsychoWave Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Auditory Illusion? Would that work with 8 speakers around the dancefloor? This look good! But not just this... I think with the technology we can make a more immersible ambient at parties...and this can be offer a unbelievable multimedia experience...mainly at psychedelic scene.. A 360º sound system...a lot of visual stuff linked with the sound...and the main: A new concept when the peoples on dancefloor can do more then a just be a spectator...a place with sensors network when the people interact with the music/visual... I feel like a big network of musicians, VJ´s, engineers, and human interfaces making a psychoactive experience...it´s my dream... sorry a bad english... Quote
yerg Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I'm listenning to "Psilodump - The Nya Albumet". I must say this is a very original piece of musics - psy never sounded so Aphex Twin-ish (rhythms) and Bjork-ish (think of Bachelorette melody). Quote
fluffymushi Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Borg-psy. a very cubicle type of sound. every single sound will be assimilated & deployed through all of the various cubes cubicly positioned in an auditory cubimetry. resistance is futile. Quote
jivamukti Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 What next? Godford releases Hallucinogen III and everyone and their imaginary friend scramble to copy-paste his divine killargh power to their full on. Result: neo full on! Godford, of course, being the god he is gracefully leaves the debacle behind untouched. Quote
RTP Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Auditory Illusion? Would that work with 8 speakers around the dancefloor? this is GENIOUS! thanks for this wonderful fresh experience as for the future ... I imagine big audiovisual installation things, tents with 360° projection and such. VJs and DJs working together more and more, as it's already the case sometimes. has not very much to do with the sound itself though. that's probably because we've been through a fair lot already ... there is not that much left that you still can evolve into. I believe the future eras will rather be revivals of the old, with some bit of things a little varyin' here and there... Quote
seraph Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Non Music Madness. Chaos of no sounds. An absolute silence. With infrared noiiiizzzeee. Sliding down your eustachee tube, down through the throat, making you nauseaish. Quote
RTP Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Non Music Madness. Chaos of no sounds. An absolute silence. With infrared noiiiizzzeee. Sliding down your eustachee tube, down through the throat, making you nauseaish. yea, "the music in the future isn't music", we know Quote
