Guest Ciotera
I got the CD today. It is indeed very refreshing, very different from other recent releases.. I now know why you had a difficulty describing their sound. It's true, due to its complexity and the mood swings it will probably be great for an acid trip. It's dark, but in a funny way. All the samples are so pompous, even though they are talking about carnages and dark nectars, I can't take them seriously, at least not while I'm sober. Guest snoosnoo
hehehe my thoughts exactly. I'm still at a loss for words when I listen to it because it's not easy to tell whether he's fucking around, or being serious in a way, or just trying to take your mind on a weird roller coaster ride... I also got Israelians 4 this past week, and I must say it's a really good album just like Bomble or someone else said in their review. I haven't been too impressed with the recent Israely sound, but this one is so smooth and subtle and at the same same time so psychedelic, and very deep as well, that I have to give it at least an 8.5/10, and those are very high marks on my part. Very recommended Give Psycho Laboratory (Mechanik) a try too. I think you'll be very impressed. There's nothing too subtle about that comp., just crazy, sometimes disturbing, music. hehehe and I cannot end without saying you also look into Virtual Memory (Alchemy). Track 5 on that comp is some of the best stomping full on I've heard in a while. 8/10 on the whole
Guest Ciotera
Thanks for the pointers, man.. I got Psycho Lab in the same shipment, have listened to it a couple times - it's pretty cool, especially the Parasense and Talamasca tracks.. I just wish Talamasca's track didn't have that abused marijuana sample.. but the track itself is great. I'll check the other two you listed.. Usually I try to stay away from sequel compilations - they tend to get worse with each subsequent release, but of course there are always exceptions. In the same batch of CDs I also got Spirallianz-Stereopark and Silicon Sound-Pure Analog. Both are very noteworthy for their interesting and innovative sound. So you might want to give them a try if you haven't already.
