Guest Alien Posted January 15, 2002 Posted January 15, 2002 This weekend in Cape Town we had the privledge to have Skazi and Talamasca live. These guys really rock. For 6 straight hours Talamasca grooved and moved his display of his intimate feel for his music was awsome. Does anyone really compare honestly. Belive me I have seen a lot of acts , but nothing compares on stage as Talamasca. Quote

In the "Forever After" days they were sooo cool - but now... I don't know. Their albums are great though, although many would disagree on "the Great Unknown"... The greatest live-acts for me are: Eat Static - they're incredibly, doing total re-arranged verisons of their tracks, and improvising to the max... ALWAYS killer sound quality as well. Der Dritte Raum - the idea of having one continous beat wrapping up the whole set... Very cool, and some funny effects when the tracks are 3-4 mins. to cross over, and each one has elements of a couple of others... Nice! Orbital - yes, I know, not exactly psy-trance, but these guys are musical geniuses on a stage. Love the setup, and their improvisions on stage. Miss Kittin - doeas anyone know her...? Damn, she's very able with a set of turntables ! Quote

They went to Portugal, and I was there, I went to the party but it was in a club, and it was really crowded and they were only letting people enter when other came out, and they were charging much more than the usual parties there, it was not the normal psy trance vibe that you see in the rest of the parties, so we decided to go away, but some friends told me it was amazing...now I wonder...
