Most people don't understand what's it like hearing 'Smashing the Opponent' over and over again on the radio here in Israel, as if it were a requiem (a bad one at that) for one of the my most beloved duos.

Don't forget the gathering had heavy classical influence too. There's a massive classical breakdown in virtual voyage (their classical influence seems to be toned down a lot on b.p. empire and later, although I can still hear a little bit on vicous delicous).

 

and maybe using strings isn't revolutionary... but desiging a synth sound that sounds both very psy and very classical at the same time is.
