sektor101
Why hello there. I was wondering if any of you 'old school' technoheads could help me out in finding similar stuff to this: (3rd Electric - Hydrant) (Angel Ice - Je N'aime que toi) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwwBDdiZEh4 (Equitex - Stylus Flight) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdtcYjW70vU (Outlander - Steel) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98GWwB6AurI It all sounds like pretty straightforward techno stompers from that certain era, but it has something that I can't explain why I like it. So... I guess most of the music I'm looking for is from Germany(excluding Frankfurt?) or Belgium and was made between 1990 & 1993 ? Maybe I should start with !Hype label releases ? Two things I'm pretty sure I don't want, and that's American stuff and acid techno. (a mixture of techno and house is ok I guess)
rino
Man 1990-1993 is THE techno era my fave's are from, but this Channel X/Praga Khan stuff kills me Anyways, go with CJ Bolland (early through mid nineties), Joey Beltram's "Classics" album, Source's "Organized noise" and his follow up as Source Experience, called "Different journeys", the aforementioned Channel X dorks, while far better than !Hype is the dutch label Go Bang! Records and Stealth Records. If you are to pursue the belgian sound of the period, I reckon you should check out R & S Records; hands down - they are one of the three most important old school european labels. Enough! I cannot be bothered to jot down suggestions in a non american old school techno topic. That alone is enough for eternity spent in hell... j/k This just isn't my thing. I reckon I gave you the classic picks, nothing out of the ordinary. Hope you get something out of it
sektor101
Thanks a bunch on the suggestions (hope you didn't go through too much torture writing about it hehe), I'll get right on it.
piginspace
might be sheer coincidence, but take a look at this: http://www.factmagazine.co.uk/index.php?op...&Itemid=
