buzzman Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Here are 4 tracks that I thought might interest you guys, vocal free belters http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocEXPGilmbs Haha look at the comments for this track. Quote
qa2pir Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 They're like wizards with rhythmical dynamics and glitchy beats but they really need to reinvent themselves harmonically. Quote
longloststar Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I guess the relation between regular human growth and IM's musical development is inverse. Their melodies have gone from quite mature to themes for cartoons. Quote
Malevol3nt Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 This is so pathetic. Erez get outta there maaan! Quote
venom455 Posted August 30, 2009 Author Posted August 30, 2009 wow you guys are close minded beyond repair, these tracks are pathetic too? Dont even like the first one, good lord, you people are ridiculous Quote
Drew05 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 ya know, 4 quite decent tracks to be honest that 'Infected' touch is definitely there. not gonna delve into the vocal stuff though Quote
venom455 Posted August 30, 2009 Author Posted August 30, 2009 I think the current album is much better than VD, that album sucked Quote
mars Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 ya know, 4 quite decent tracks to be honest that 'Infected' touch is definitely there. not gonna delve into the vocal stuff though There's a BIGGG improvement with this new Shawarma album (besides the title), but that won't be enough to make me buy it. There are a few tracks that are quite close to the BPEmpire spirit, and that's good news The tracks End of the Road, Franks, and Slowly are really psytrance stuff. Herbert the Pervert, Project 100, Legend of the Black Shawarma are psytrance with some guitar and/or vocals. Poquito Mas, Saeed, Smashing the Opponent, Can't stop are more psyrock stuff with vocals. The only one I really disliked is Killing Time, but it's not even a bad track per se, it's just strange to know it comes from THE Infected Mushs studio Overall it's well done, lots of ideas, less shitty vocals, superb production, yet I expected more psychedelia. I'l relisten to it soon and see if I change my mind. Quote
Redington Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Fuck this rocks... it's like Industrial genre... but with a twist of wonderland at the same time Quote
Astrognomix Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Haha look at the comments for this track. Seriously.... who are these people??? The only part of that track I genuinely enjoyed was from about 7:50 on... I really don't like the distorted electric guitar sound much at all. Quote
SeaWasp Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 "Slowly" is really nice actually... I'd prefer this track to their pseudo-rock-ish music. Quote
Astrognomix Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 "Slowly" is really nice actually... I'd prefer this track to their pseudo-rock-ish music. Completely agree... Of the four that I listened to this is the only one that grabs me, and that I would keep in my collection. Quote
abasio Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Didn't make it through one track to be honest Kinda disappointed Quote
Penzoline Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Didn't make it through one track to be honest Kinda disappointed Same. They all sounded predictable and uninspired to me. Quote
Padmapani Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Same. They all sounded predictable and uninspired to me. +1 Quote
venom455 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Predictable? Are you fucking kidding me...I can understand it might not be your type but calling the tracks predictable..what a bunch of horse shit ahahah Quote
Padmapani Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Predictable? yup, predictable. the melodies sound predictable, simple, easy to memorize and almost childish. Quote
psytones Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 They're like wizards with rhythmical dynamics and glitchy beats but they really need to reinvent themselves harmonically. where you born so smart, or did you have to work for it? it's just strange to know the Killing Time track comes from THE Infected Mushs studio what do you mean about the bold? Is it the only track made in the original Infected Studio i Israel, or what? Quote
Luminon Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 They're like wizards with rhythmical dynamics and glitchy beats but they really need to reinvent themselves harmonically. True. I keep hearing klezmer in half of their melodies. The rest is half-cartoony, half-epic, like they couldn't decide what to play. This one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocEXPGilmbs) started to be good at 8:30, but still with disharmonical dead-ends in the melodies. This unfortunate trend started with VD. There were some really good tracks (like the title track, which is one of the most twisted things I've ever heard) but generally they seem to drift away to another sub-culture of listeners. So far, I like the tracks Slowly and Herbert the pervert Quote
Insejn Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 R.I.P Infected Mushroom (1996 - 2001) Ah, yes. Those were the days. Quote
