El Ejercito de la Muerte- Shadow & TDR9. Existence Problems- SpeedballThe fabulous track list prompted me to order this beast. Tzolkin is the oldest Mayan calendar with no beginning and no end according to wikipedia. This is the first release of the label and I hope the artists make it special. Nightpsy is the order of the day with some of my favorite artists represented. If you buy this CD you will be rewarded with some sinister melodic night music. Thumping bass drums and that molasses sticky acid clings to everything. It seems that every track has that rampaging bass line.A few notes:I was surprised by the relative weakness of the Outer Signal effort.Orca brings the high energy with night-time madness. Really ominous track. The lead in the Frozen Ghost track is really chaotic good! Kode Six (I reviewed their debut album here) bring a delightful break with a Batman sample in an otherwise noisy track.Speedball delivers an absolute blister of a track with Nicholas Cage sample lurking underneath in a monotone soliloquy. All in all this was a pretty good CD. If you like night-time psy don't hesitate to pick this one up. I didn't.Mdk
