Spacegirl Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Yggdrasil's "Prose Edda" is well worth checking - it's a blatant, shameless rip-off of Shpongle/YB style (it's all there - acidy arpeggios, stuttering voices, live guitars, latino influences, tempo changes - the lot), but a damn good one. Yes! I like Yggdrasil's Prose Edda better than Shpongle's Ineffable Mysteries. But both recommended if you are into Shpongle's past work. And I'd like to recommend Easily Embarrassed's Planet Discovery! Kind of like Entheogenic meeting Jean Michel Jarre in space Also I like Aes Dana's Leylines album better than Solar Field's Movements. But also both recommended anyway of course. Oh and hi :) Quote

rino Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I don't believe nobody has mentioned: By a mile my favorite psy trance orientated release of 2009. So refreshing and fun to listen to Other then that, I really enjoeyd Solar Field's "Movements" album, and as an old schooler, Blue Planet Corporation's "A Blueprint For Survival" was a spot on release! RTP Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 holy merde, I just discovered that there are three new releases from the Klangstrahler Project guys ... one from 2009, just released recently actually -- the Klangstrahler Progressive Trance and Dance Compilation: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/kla/kla1cd006.html How on earth could this pass me by? the last time I heard something new from these guys was about seven years ago! And this is good stuff! Because, unlike Feuerhake, this member of the former Free Form Records artist roster has NOT changed to lollipop-progressive! How on earth could this pass me by? These guys meanwhile founded a freakin' label! Insane Quote
Laserflip Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Best free-releases this year: Sentna - Tech Nald Proton Kinoun – Apeiron ManMadeMan – Children Of The Light Xamanist – Initiation Quote
Altered-Mind Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 SubConsciousMind - Intermezzo Extended Cybernetika - Atropos Merrow - Born Underwater VA - Goa Culture - Compiled by John 00 Fleming SynSUN - Full Power Of Goa VA - Breaking The Wall Filteria - Daze Of Our Lives Quote
Basilisk Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Some releases I've had on a lot: Filteria - Daze Of Our Lives Vishnudata - Vishnudata SubConsciousMind - Intermezzo Extended Cybernetika - Atropos Disco Hooligans - Clear Skies Wow, that's a shabby list. Techno is taking up 95% of my listening time and none of it comes in album format... it's all random tracks pilfered from compilations and EPs. Makes my task of recommending music a lot tougher! psybuyer Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Without a doubt Solar Fields Movements is the best album from 2009 even though it was released so long ago now (back in January). Quote
sphagnum Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Haven't seen it mentioned here at all but it deserves to be: Smiley Pixie - Chill Out Moods to Urban Grooves Quote
