Darkarbiter
Couldn't find a thread on it, but I'd like some south african psytrance recomendations. After listening to rinkadink's great stuff and some broken toy stuff I'd like to hear more. Or similar sortof melodic fairly acessable (can be semi cheesy dark though) darkpsy that is fairly dancey/fun focused though. The perfect example of this would be penta-september. So I guess the primary things I'm looking for is: twilight mood and some nice rythmns (good sound design is key too, but that's a given). Insejn
For that twilight sound check out Pitch Hikers (Shift & Slug project) both albums, released in 2005 and 2007. For the more melodic conventional psy try Protoculture. And for the more harder, darker South African sound try Twisted System, Multistate, Shift, Phyx, Tickets. In fact, look up all releases by Timecode Records and Nexus Media. And don't forget to check out Artifakt for a real special treat
Ormion
First of all check everything from Timecode, Nexus Media. Next go to other SA labels like MMD or Vision. If you want more melodic style check all the albums by Tickets, Brethren and the last two albums by Slug. For something melodic yet more eerie check both albums by Pitch Hikers. Fore insane, superintense phat psy check the debut album by the gods of psytrance Twisted System. For melody, power, darkness and acid paranoia check everything by Shift, Phyx and the second album by Twisted System. For metalic-psychedelic paranoia check Hiyarant's and Multistate albums. For phatty, phat melodic phatness check Frozen Ghost. For funky yet powerful psy check Xatrik's second album and everything by Zion Linguist. For pure dark SA psy check Xatrik's debut. For funk in da houze psy check Damage. And for all the above check Artifakt.

Trance2MoveU
As a SA psytrance blind buyer, Artifakt was one artist that I couldn't get into. The music is too harsh and atonal for me. Also, I find it grating on the ears at times. Mdk
Laserflip
Do you have any recommendations for deep and more atmospheric SA-Trance?
Ormion
Do you have any recommendations for deep and more atmospheric SA-Trance? Brethren's second album The Price Of Prophecy. Also check out Phatmatix. He's French, but his style is 100% SA. And let's close this reply with the usual way. SA psy for ever!!!!!!
