Guest Deeper
Who says it needs to be psytrance...? Pretty lame.
Guest Daniel
it's not psy-trance it's Infected-Trance....they are in a category of thier own
Guest peaceful warrrior
I agree with daniel. Infected Mushroom is making music that is quite different from everybody else and I LOVE IT! The people who knock them are pretty lame. BTW its true that it isn't strictly psytrance but who cares? All of the most talented artists don't care about making strictly formulaic psytrance, they just want to be free to explore and create good stuff. Case in point: Simon Posford, Juno Reactor (Ben Watkins et al), and Infected Mushroom. All three are amazing producers and musicians whose talent can't be confined to restricting formulas. Guest Deeper
Thats what i was saying... Pretty lame was aimed towards the dudes speaking above. Relax a bit and enjoy MUSIC.
Guest Psylol
Infected mushrooms has a strange why to feel like if an army of mushrooms were here dancing everytime we listen to their tracks, that's make them different from other artists,BUT Infected are one of the most "true" psytrance team like talamasca or astral projection, they have they are and they will make the beautifull days of the psytrancers, they are different but they are not outside psytrance style

Guest peaceful warrior
How many times is what going to be covered? And why do you care? If you don't want to read it, you don't have to.
Guest Daniel
^^^ Lol, amen to that peaceful warrior!!! Infected Mushroom are the pioneers of psy-trance, they keep extending the "boundaries" which the genre confines the producers....they keep finding new ways to make psy-trance interesting. Not to bash any other producers out there now-a-days but it seems to me that most new psy-trance isn't THAT innovative, there's not many artists that have come into the game that have started a new psy-trance revolution like Simon Posford, Juno Reactor, Astral Projectiona and Infected Mushroom have.....I'm still waiting for some new blood to come in and give us something that we haven't heard 1000 times before (and is good!).... Infected will continue to make good music, their talent has not declined throughout the years, it's stayed constant if anything. They are true psy-trance "artists" like many of the FEW greats....I'm hoping to see some new artists come out and blow me away, but thuse far nothin has sparked my interest....however Violet Vision has some pretty awesome music, I totally love their debut album.....definetly going to buy their 2nd album whenit comes out
Insejn
I think the new album is the worst they have done.

Guest Mike
i can honestly say i don't like all infected tracks, but i DO love infected, from EVERY album they have made (including CV), i find some that are IMO timeless....
Guest massive_yak
my theory on the second disc: payback of a debt -or- they lost a bet
Guest maxi
no one have asked infected to produce formulaic psy, but most people would have expected atleast some bits of TWO discs to be somewhat psychedelic, in any form.
Guest Minius
new or not new line but i think this album is lame.'I Wish' sounds like Gigi D'agostino.
Guest Pymposium
Some of the songs on CD2 might be uncomfortable territory with all the coherent lyrics that in some cases (converting vegetarians) may seem cheesy. They still sound great though. This is coming from a person that loved the Birthday E.P. though, where songs 2 and 3 were similar in style to the stuff on CD2. The lyrics are probably where a lot of the hater comments come from. Maybe some of you aren't used to slightly Jewish accents? Not every singer has to sound North American. I personally love the vocals on the album, from the Jewish rapin' to sorta obnoxious "shawkawkaw". Is CD2 psytrance? Maybe not. But I think it sounds better than CD1. The fact that it doesn't fit a particular genre doesn't matter to me.
Guest peaceful warrior
Define psychedelic maxi. What does that term mean to you? Because I think that it is psychedelic. And in any case, it is good. As far as the singing, well I agree with pymposium, I love the vocals on the album. I personally think that the singing works well and I even like the slightly Jewish accent. It adds flavor. Why does all singing have to be with a north american accent? That's boring. And I don't give a shit what "I Wish" sounds like, it is one of my favorite songs on the album. The trance side alone is one of the best, if not the best, album that Infected Mushroom have created. When you add the mind-blowing Other Side to the mix... well then you have an unbeatable combo. This is by far the best work that Infected have done.
