simorq Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Saw this over on the Twisted forum. Ineffable Mysteries From Shpongleland is the #25 Dance/Electronic album right now! Quote
abasio Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 How many must they sell to get on that nowadays? Quote
supergroover Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 And they were complaining about the sales? Quote

Tennant Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 No, they were complain about piracy. No, Simon was complaining about the sales and how little money Twisted had in the bank. Let's hope it's increased. Quote
Ormion Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 No, Simon was complaining about the sales and how little money Twisted had in the bank. Let's hope it's increased. Simon was complaining that piracy affected the sales. So he was complaining about piracy. Quote
Basilisk Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Simon has made a meaningful contribution to art and culture over the course of the last 20 years. Quote
iTranscendence Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Whoever leaked the release early really hurt their sales.. oh wait. Quote
johnb820 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 You hardly have to sell anything to get on the music charts these days. Physical sales are unbelievably dismal. 5,000 copies would probably get you in the top 40 on the main billboard charts. Also, billboard's definition of dance/electronic is really funny. Quote
abasio Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Still, I bet there are many artists out there that would love to sell just 5000 copies. Quote

simorq Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 Hmm...maybe this isn't right because now, under 'Chart History,' it says 'This Album has never charted.' But a few days ago, it said #25 in the same place, so....??? Quote
psycHiLLeR Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Still, I bet there are many artists out there that would love to sell just 5000 copies. I bet there are a ton of artists that would like to sell the remaining 200 from their limited edition pressing of 500 copies released several years ago. Quote
