Guest Ale
I like Demonoizer from Battle of Future Buddhas. I ask cd titles in this dirty melodic style.
Lemmiwinks
there are none... Battle of the Future Buddhas are unique... the only CDs you could find with this kind of music are their older (but better IMO) album Twin Sharkfins and their compilations Schlabbaduerst Records 1 - 4 (check out the reviews section on this site). There's also an incoming Ka-Sol album (IMO even darker than the BotFB style) but we're still waiting for it to be released. And, once you're done with all those, check out the Third Trip compilation on Parvati Records, not exactly the same thing, but still some pretty dark "industrial" goa... BTW one of the members goes around this forum under the name D-Dave, if he's still around... don't hesitate to say hi :-D BTW D-Dave, if you're still there: Hi man!! You really scared the shit out of me at PLUR 4!! he he but it was still all good ;-D SMI²LE
Guest D-Dave
Hi! How did I manage to scare the shit out of you? We played only commercial tracks... We did NOT play the hardest or the darkest, we played very melodic tracks in the end. It was a fun party! Happy happy joy joy! Oh, and Schlab 005 is out now, so there are 5 compilations. I got to agree, I cant come up with anything similar to Demonoizer. There was a greek band called Interstellar Overdrive who did something very similar to our style, a bit more hectic though and with more melodies and more interesting shifts and turns in the tracks. I played it all the time. But I think Ka-SoL and Marchaos is your best bet nowadays. Stone Age Records releases something with the same spirit, but a lot lighter. Guest rx7style
Shaolin Wooden Men - Supermindway
Guest r2d2
Hey D-Dave do you still use your hotmail address? I sent you an e mail regarding my Schlab 5 order but I haven't goten any reply yet.
Guest spacemonkey
strange you'd say "Shaolin Wooden Men - Supermindway" never made the connection, but come to think about it has some similarity's with for example the lord of the dance track. but i have to warn anyone not familiair with the SWM, it's weird and totally different not 4/4 beats more acidrock directly making the 30 years step to electronics. (excpet the first 2 albums, they are just weird not really good imo) just listened the track galactic off of supermindway this morning and i have to say this is one of the most uplifting and feelgood weirdo tracks out there, it's teuly amazing! BTW i read on psyharmonics they''l bring out a new album this summer wohoo!
Guest Kokoretsi
At the Moment only Fractal Gllider Albums Can Match this style to a certain point... and maybe Psyside, ToiDoi ...
Lemmiwinks
Fractal Glider? SWM?? ToiDoi??? WTF???? those don't even sound REMOTELY like BotFB!!! SMI²LE
Guest Kokoretsi
Lemi the Parasite album from FG is considered a hard mix with old goa trance and full on accompanied with twisted acidlines all over the place ! Doesnt sound that like BotFB? Thats my opinion..take it or not ! Muhahahahahah
Guest Arkan
Fractal Glider is not hard and its not twisted, but its very nice anyway. Oh, and why and how can you compare the Buddhas with old goa trance if they have a unique style? I dont see anything coming close to the wicked sound of the battlebuddhas. Tim Schuldt though? Guest fuula
I have to agree that buddhas have unique style, but I really do like fractals parasite album, and I have to say it's quite dark and harsh as well, not the same way as buddha, but anyways hundred times better than this usual mainstream darkpsy we hear all the time. Take for instance mezmorized by fractal, my god it's twisted.
