N.A.S.A

Not another silly Acronym! Behind the musical project N.A.S.A. we find Mikkel Rasmussen, from Copenhagen - Denmark. Mikkel has been producing music for 14 years, changing genres and evolving his musical genius to fit into the spectrum of his taste and musical magic.

 

Also being a part of the hugely popular underground minimal Psy Trance project, 'The Gnome Effect', Mikkel's career was launched rapidly when he began making music on a serious level. Since then, 'The Gnome Effect' has been disbanded, and Mikkel's solo project has changed and evolved further into a unique form of trance music, fusing together many different elements from both the psychedelic and techno genre's making his own trademark sound and brand of electronic trance music.

SAFI CONNECTION

Safi Connection is Mishel Bitton(31) Mishel first started to make music back in '97, where he released an album under the project "Sonichaos" . The Sonichaos album presented a very melodic approach that fitted the times back than. This album was released through Planet Music, a sub-label of B.N.E, a major player in the international Trance scene.

 

Few months after the release of "Sonichaos" Mishel teamed with Avi peled, together they came up with the "Todra" project, which had a much more matured musical approach. This project was instantly signed for the Krembo Records label and was released in '98 with great responds worldwide. From that moment on Mishel started spining music around the world and from exploring the international markets and trends Mishel felt that he must bring his ideas into life but with a whole new perspective and so he changed his musical direction and progressed to what everyone knows today as "Safi Connection".

ZETAN SPORE

Zetan Spore was originally formed in West Cornwall, UK by Ian Hasdell in 1995. After being inspired by psychedelic rock in the late 80's and it's evolution into early dance acts such as Eat Static and Astralasia, and then by the birth of psytrance in the first half of the 90's, Ian brought a second hand Amiga 1200 computer and started arranging samples to form his own style of psychedelic dance music.

 

After releasing his first album, "Alien Frequencies" in 1996 and getting some more equipment, his twin brother Mark came on board, playing guitar and didgeridoo to form their unique synergistic partnership.

ED TANGENT

From an early age Ed found himself drawn to mixing sounds (on an old four track), and the emerging Electronic music medium being developed in the 1970’s, citing the Band ‘SKY’ as an early influence. By the early 80’s he started DJing, influenced by the early electro/hip-hop scratch DJs’ and started looping breaks and beats from old rare groove tracks whist mixing into the new Electro sound. By the end of the 80s’ he moved up to Manchester UK where he immersed himself into the Rave culture and free party scene.

 

After several years of playing and promoting techno and acid sounds at events around the UK’s North West Ed discovered the Goa Trance sound. He teamed up in 1995 with Matt Allaby (Nano) and Christos to start his own night Global Sunrise, which still runs to this day as Sunrise. Ed got recognition for his skills as a DJ and played across the UK at many events including guest spots for the original Psy super club ‘Return To the Source’ at venues such as Brixton Academy, the Rocket, Tyson Street and Mega Dog Festival Events. Ed also found success further a field in Europe and was a guest Dj at the ‘Hill Top’ Goa, for their Millennium NYE party.

PSYKIA

Psykia, real name Francesca Spadoni is an eclectic young artist from the Italian underground music scene. Psykia connected with music in her primary years at the age of six, when she first took a violin in her hands, which she loves and, even now, is the instrument closest to her heart.

 

She studied classical music throughout her childhood and at the same time was introduced to electronic music, thanks to her brother DJ Sword, a great collector of trance and techno from their very beginnings.

SHAWNODESE

Dj Shawnodese is Gosse Beerda, who's been a resident in Holland for most of his life, next to having lived in Germany and Venezuela. His DJ career started way back in the early 90's (1992) and after kicking off with mainly acid-trance & techno, he seriously got infected by some traveling friends with their hidden & unreleased psy-trance on DAT-tapes...from that point on, there was no way back anymore. After living up north of Holland and moving to Amsterdam things started to accelerate quickly and his name & fame began to grow rapidly in the psy-trance scene worldwide.

 

Having been a resident DJ in Amsterdam's local club Trance Buddha sorted him with the many contacts needed for international exposure and dj-gigs. Over the past years he's been playing in many countries such as: Holland, Germany, United Kingdom, Denmark, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Israel, Indonesia, South-Africa, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico and the U.S.A.

DOCTOR SPOOK

DR. Spook is well known for his interview and visual input within the now `cult classic' DV documentary film, `Liquid Crystal Vision', exploring the World Wide trance music scene. He began creating electronic music & 3D visuals in the early 90's and started Djing in 1998 at the legendary Burning Man Festival.

 

Musically Spook is collaborating with a stream of the worlds leading musical masterminds including Tamir Ozana from Atomic Pulse, Chromatone and Random, Altom, Earthling, Central Processing Unit, Twisted Reaction and soon several new projects with Ovnimoon and Sidhartha. Mindstorm has a strong concept with each track, a detail lacking in much of today's dance music.

YAZ FLOROWORLD

Yaz of Floroworld was one of the first female vjs proving that girlies can be tech heads! Originally from the UK, now based in Portugal Yaz needs very little introduction to the Psychedelic trance music scene. Her experience, dedication and team work will provide you with an impact of high quality visual art to complement a variety of sound.

 

She has worked all over Europe including events such as; Boom Festival, Hawkwind, Hawkfest, Hawkwind Tour, Full Moon Festival, Spacehopper, Messmedia, Trancemission, Elements Trance, Glade Festival, Shiva Moon and Shamania Festival to name a few.
