Guest unikos Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 hehehehehe... but everybody knows that ALL gms's tracks are their best, since they really have only ONE track.... Quote
Guest lysergic Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 dont know, but i like: do androids dream of electric sheep & on a mission from god Quote
Guest narwhal Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 Well, when nowadays you buy a cdbox of Miles Davis or John Coltrane, you get three or five or up to seven different versions of the same songs. At any times when the music is fast evolving the only thing to do for an artist is constantly recording. Some say this overproduction killed jazzmusic in the fifties, but nowadays in dancemusic it keeps going on for more than fifteen years. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, noone has the obligation to buy every recording of a version from a version of a tune (sometimes called a remix). I personally still regard the GMS and their collaborations as stepping stones of trancefuture and -history. Quote
Guest massive_yak Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 Amazing is good.. i also like Juice (probably cuz i like the song from requiem for a dream) Quote

Guest massive_yak Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 oh.. i forgot about remixes.. in that case: Deedrah - Reload (Gms Mix) Quote
Guest Space Ninja Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 GMS with all the hate and disrespect they recieve and frankly deserve sometime had their share of quality dancefloor bombers. To mention a few that can make me go frenzy: Juice By GMS Arabian Knights On Mescaline DMT Salvia Divinorum SpliffPolitics Digital Self Probably there are plenty more, but i really have better things to do with my time Quote
Guest connor Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 growlmonizer - eject thats a fucking rad track, but of course it has Simon Posford's hands in it.. Quote
Guest unikos Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 i really liked some old gms stuff i heard... i was told that they were 3 people back then... btw, does any1 know who the 3rd guy was and if he s still producing music? Quote
Guest ritual om Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 growling mad scientists are these guys my friend: jakov biton, sebastian ciaro , riktam and bansi.don't know what the first 2 do nowadays. Quote
Guest Selim Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 On their first album ("Chaos Laboratory"), GMS were Jacob (Jakov) Biton, Sebastian (Sebi) Ciaro, Joe Quinteros (Bansi), and Sajahan Matkin (Riktam). Nowadays they're mostly Bansi and Riktam, though Riktam's younger brother Shanti helps out on quite a few tracks and Sebi occassionally collaborates as well. Jacob Biton went on to release an album under the name Spiral Active Project a number of years ago. Sebi and Shanti sometimes record together as Frequency Surfers, and now Shanti has his own project called Juvenile. My favorite GMS (or GMS co-written) tracks: Older stuff: Jaws, Do Androids Dream..., Rollercoaster, Slingshot Newer stuff: On a Mission..., Reload rmx, Spliffpolitics, Juice, William Wallace, The Third Eye Say what you want about GMS, but when they're on, they rock the dancefloor like few others.
