So who actually mixed Raja Rams Stashbag 2?

I'm confused... On the cover it says "Mixed and Recorded and Edited by Benji Vaughan", but as the title suggest it was mixed by Raja Ram - also, he wrote the liner-notes...

Someone told me that Raj DID do the mix, but Ben fixed it up in Protools...

But now I got this mail-out from Chaos that says it's strange that Raj didn't mix this one...

I'm pretty sure it's Raj's mix, but I'm not positive...

So, can anyone shed some light on this?

EXCELLENT compilation by the way... Good old wholesome full-on psy-mayhem just the way I like it... Recommeded!

Most of the tracks (I count 9) out of 13 are from other compils and are quite old. I was a bit dissappointed with the selection.

are you sure about that? alot of tracks are vinyl only. there are some really good tracks on it but I think they he should skip the mixing and just release the full tracks(new one also) instead. or make it a 2-cd compilation with one cd mixed and the other unmixed. Dimitris dat-bag wasn't mix what I remember and it was great.

if you want to check out a GREAT full on compilation which is mixed extremely well then check out the new phonokol compilation Juice. the best mix cd I have heard in a long time.

Have you guys noticed the printing errors found on the cd?

Alternative Vision should be Alternate Vision, and on the backcover they left out the Sphongle track.

Isn't that a bit lame for such a major label?

Dude, TIP-World has been f*cking up their CD-inserts for ages. On Inca:Nations we have "Safi Conection" instead of "Safi Connection" on both the insert and CD, track 9 listed as "Infected Mushroom" instead of "Infected Mushroom & Yahel - Electro Panic" on the CD, and on the spine they have the album title mislabeled as "Incai:Nations"! In fact, the pre-release title for that comp was "Incar:Nations," which would been more in keeping with the whole one-word-containing-the-word-"nations" theme they had going with their compilations, so my theory (though it's complete conjecture) is that they misprinting their covers with the spelling "Inca:Nations" and then decided to just stick with that rather than reprint things.

Another example of their printing errors is the tracklisting for the GMS & Amigos, which is completely scrambled; maybe like three or four of the nine tracks are correctly listed. Actually, in a way all the misprintings add to psychedelic experience of the complete package you get with these CDs: I like to imagine a bunch of guys sitting around so fried they can't even figure out which track is which when they're making up the CD-insert.

My suggestion for the title of the next comp in the ":Nations" series: Trephi:Nations.

Yeah..

and if you even knew how many misspellings and/or errors they have in the creditslist on various compilations.. Its ridiculous! And intimidating for the artists. Such a big label should do atleast an hour of research before printing the actual cover.

Heh heh, it was quite fun trying to work out which track was which on GMS & Amigos - Tri-Ball University. Though not if you wanted to find a track in a rush.

I didn't notice the Incai:Nations typo btw...

i don't think there's any excuse, especially when you're running a label!! i can't tell you how long it took me to sort out a few misprints in the past... in one case, i looked for a vinyl for a few **years** before i found out that the tune listed was actually a remix by another artist. if you're making money off an artist's back, then you better print the correct fucking track info.

yeah, be happy, so you finally followed my advice and used a condom? ;)

ok ok very bad joke anyways... concerning this misspelling thingy: i used to listen to hard core before i discovered goa. those damn "thunderdome" cds, consited solely of misprints and misspelling :)

psyfi: about the thunderdome, not the mention no artsit real names, or labels so if you wanted to find a track on vinyl, you most of the time had to flip through a whole stack of vinyl hoping you'd find it. ;-)
