(OM)Open_Mind
I dislike how filter of ES2 sounds (( So digitally, so rude and cheap! Just listen carefully demo here http://www.standalone-music.com/?page_id=135 Everything is fine except filtering... But in other aspects it's one of the best soft synths with unique features.3 ---- My fav is ni reactor.

LuisBSF
Actually, the virus hardware is a computer of sorts. The sound engine is software and runs on that.

Instead of computer CPU, Virus software works on this

But in other aspects it's one of the best soft synths with unique features.3 ---- My fav is ni reactor. The ES2's filters, (along with ES1 and ESM) are very digital sounding, this is why I use it a lot for them harsh ripping digital high pass sounds. If I want warm and analogue transistor ladder, SSM, or the classic IR Roland filter sound, I use other synths. But its a workhorse for trance tunes, its my go to synth, and although it comes with Logic I use it every day. The raw oscillator sound is really good. Peace out.
