Anyone Interested In Helping Me Out?

I'm practicing mixing psy-trance for the first time....I previously mixed vocal trance remixes to start out...but now I'm taking a go at trying to mix psy-trance, which presents itself to be a challange.

I'm working on my first mix, here is the TENATIVE track list for right now, it's incomplete (still need a few songs)

1. Fly Agaric - I See Myself

2. Hux Flux - Tripple Nipple

3. Logic Bomb - Hydrofon

4. Kox Box - Electric Brainwash

5. Nystagmus - Desert of the Real (Demon Remix)

6. Pleiadians - Taygeta

7. Talpa - Mandragor

I might take out the Talpa song (which I love) or at least move it somewhere else....the beat is a little different sounding than the Pleiadians track, I'm not satisfied with how it sounds.....I need to add more tracks, but I'm kinda at a stop...I have to find more similar artists to put on the comp.

Anyway....when my mix is complete I was wondering if anyone would be interested in listening to it and telling me how I did for my first psy-trance mix? Just let me know...

"the beat is a little different sounding than the Pleiadians track," i dont remember how the tracks sound right now, but if its just that the kickdrums dont match id say keep the talpa track in your mix.. beat changes are most welcome!! otherwise, if u beatmix psyit gets too boring after a couple of tracks at the most..

hope my opinion from the listener perspective helps...

Daniel,

I have found the best way to mix psy is to do it your own way, tell a story and don't worry about beatmatching, this is what makes a mix more interesting, flow with the tunes rather than try to impress the crowd, have been mixing with software for a few years but am getting my cdj's soon... I'd love to trade mix's with you so email me at:

bwst of luck,

ps rmemember that variety is the spice of life... I always enjoy chucking in a freestyle psy track in the middle of a mix, just throws the crowd out a little bit and stuff, even a chillout track... it's about you have just as much fun as the crowd :)

Yeah I'm all about having good variety, it's nice to see that randomness is encouraged.....the only thing I want to make sure to do is make the transitions sound good while having a nice variety of tracks. I'll e-mail ya sometime :)
