LuisBSF
Don't surprise yourself for enjoying some of the best quality music known to man Of a different breed but I think you might like would be Sibelius; my favorite being his 5th symphony - otherworldly. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLOig_N14Dg Not up to date on the more modern classical, or perhaps more accurately "orchestral", side of things. I'm a big fan of Oldfield's Music of the Spheres http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUh-KQV2_Ns
LuisBSF
He also has a lovely orchestral piece called Mont Saint Michel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMwiH9WF0ZQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CpJmR_Ur9c Even though the album cover is ghastly. Sawfly
I do enjoy modern classical, but kinda despise classical music. Bleh.
Otto Matta
There's plenty of good, proper Modern, Contemporary and Post-Modern music out there that has ties with Jóhannsson and Richter: Glass, Ligeti, Messiaen, Stockhausen, Varèse, Honegger, Cage... Definitely check out Steve Reich! Also I find a handful of the Impressionists to be along similar lines, although certainly more traditional in their approach: Ravel, Debussy and Satie. Bahamut
Forget the rest and just listen to more Chopin.
