The wait is finally over as Martin Freeland aka MWNN delivers his blistering new album “Interstate Highway” on Monday 30th June for Dragonfly Records. “Interstate Highway” will include the double AA sides single “Axis Flip / Lights Out”. One of the trance scenes true legends MWNN seals his reputation as a master craftsman with this superbly produced piece of work. The production across these nine tracks is second to none, and a handful of trance tastemakers lucky enough to receive copies have already have been blown away. Martin’s long and illustrious career, began way back in 1988 when his track Urban Acid (Polydor) sold over 65,000 copies, he followed this by releasing 1993 ‘s “Moment of Truth” for early trance label ‘Concept in Dance’. 1994 saw Martin fall in with Youth’s cutting edge trance label – Dragonfly where he recorded the definitive psy-trance anthem ‘Teleport’, which still recides in Paul Oakenfolds top three tunes of all time. In 1998 MWNN was snapped up Oakenfold’s Perfecto (East West) where he released the critically acclaimed album “Earth moving the sun” which included the underground club anthem “Sugar Rush”.

I was just browsing through the reviews from the previous MWNN albums and it seems that with his most recent albums his fans have gotten more and more disapointed....hopefully he can turn things around.

I shall go listen to some samples....

I heard some new MWNN on some vids of him playing live and I was impressed!! Of course it still sounds warm and almost-commercial, but what would you expect from MWNN??? If you loved his tracks like Teleport, The Breach, Seratonin Sunrise etc. then you won't be dissapointed!! But if you're into minimal.......

What's with that Reincarnation track!! I already listened to it in the radio some time ago! Is it really a MWNN track, or a remix made by him?

Yes I think that its(pipeline) one the vibration compils..

Still though he made moment of thruth, one of my alltime favorites, so I'll probably give this one a go anyway :)

Heh, sorry about that luiz, but I didn't had much time to add something more personal (exams & studying are killing me... softly :P). Anyhow, some time ago I've listened to the track called Pipeline and in my opinion it is a very good track, kinda track for starting a good psy' DJ set. It's rather slow in bpm but still there is a melody hiding somewhere there. I've also heard Reincarnation, but it was a Tripster Rmx, and till now I don't have good memories of this track. Maybe this one will be different... dunno about the rest cause I have nothing to play the samples from saikosounds :] . I just hope that this album won't be another nail in MWNN's coffin, and will be atleast decent. Otherwise...

Well, you know, he had 'Moment of Truth' which was great for its time and a classic. Then he went to the dark side (Perfecto) and made one shitty album. After that, they made a "best of" over at Dragonfly, which was cool but not a real test of what might come. Now there is this... ! His first real album away from that Paul Oakenfucker. Who knows? Anything might happen. It might be a wicked oldschool but updated type album, or it might just suck. Let's hope for the former and not the latter.

I heard the majority of it the weekend before last and there's way more than a few great tunes on it. I think it's a real return to form for him and can't wait to see him out and about again destroying dancefloors with them...

From the samples I'm sure this so long awaited new album (interstate highway) will not disappoint at all, neither did moment of truth nor teleportation (the best of).

Can't talk of earth moving the sun, never could get a hold on.

I like MWNN unique style. So it rather good if it wouldn't be chaged. Who have listened a new album? What it is all about?
