A Nightmare On Elm Street

Has anyone seen the new Nightmare on Elm Street? I went into it with fairly low hopes, especially after seeing some poor reviews of it, but I had to anyway.

 

Overall I think it was pretty well done...except...for Freddy. The writers totally took all the scary out of him. The actor was all right, nothing special, but his lines were just terrible. I think they tried to make the character less comically evil and more "realistically" evil, but ended up leaching out the scary and just made him like a really angry guy.

 

That kind of sucks because other than the main character, the movie was a pretty decent remake. The only other issue I had was that they jumped too fast into the "hey, we're all having the same dream" realization.

I thought this was really, really bad..
