longloststar
Tron - Biologic Review 1. Chopsquad 2. Pollyphonic Pineapple 3. Homegrown 4. HD (feat. Beatnik) 5. Wawawa (feat. Pollyphonica) 6. Prawntrance 7. REsync 8. Freebass 9. Life This is the second part of Tron's discourse to creature full-on for adults. An even more fitting description would be full-on for people with extreme patience, because this sound is so damn dense you will give up on it unless you already know its good. Compared to the previous "Existence", undoubtedly a masterpiece, "Biologic" is a step down in complexity, yet a step up in denseness. This, seemingly a paradox, is explained by the replacement of percussive elements with melodic ones; far from a step towards traditional melodic full-on however. Tron finds melodies that are barely alive, that are just a stone's throw away from being words in a foreign language you neither understand nor care about. "Biologic" balances on the line between full-on muzac and something quite groovy, either way its a relaxing experiences, even in the face of its typical full-on tempo. Its greatest strength is the unobtrusiveness of the sound, its greatest weakness is that it never makes you yearn for it. It wont make you want to move your body in any particular way, but it will make you wanna do something else while still being tickled, but not disturbed, in the musical parts of your brain. As such, it has to be categorized together with, for example, Zen Mechanics and U-Recken, and compared to these names, it surely holds its own. @reyu
Nice review, very helpful, I've bought the album some time ago not sure what to expect. Haven't played it much but what you said makes sense
