Guest Navigator Posted June 3, 2003 Posted June 3, 2003 Anybody heard OTT's album yet? Is it good? like Hallucinogen In Dub? Quote
Guest unikos Posted June 3, 2003 Posted June 3, 2003 search for a bit older post - there has been a lot of talk about it here... i heard the album, i heard ott play at the synergy project for a while and i must say that although i had very high expectations i was a bit let down.... at the synergy party i thought that ott's music was very boring and i went to another room for a while.. when i returned i sat down to listen to whatever ott would play... i think that the soundsystem didnt do any justice to the music because -at least where i was sitting- the only thing i could hear was BASS.. and not even rhythmic.. just wwpobbbbwwwpwpooobbvwwwwppoouubbbb and all the melodies and smart twitches and stuff that i like from the album were lost.... Guest oa Posted June 3, 2003 Posted June 3, 2003 Hallucinogen In Dub is better - theres not much variety on the new OTT - cept for a couple songs. Go with Flock Of Bleeps if you want something different. Quote
Guest koolaid Posted June 3, 2003 Posted June 3, 2003 I still dunno which I prefer Flock of Bleeps, Blumenkraft or Hallucinogen in Dub. OTT's album has a lot of indiany influences. I extremely like a few of the tracks, but have to be in a special indiany vibe mood to listen to a couple of the others. Flock of bleeps has more techno influences, but also takes on a load of other influences and is a extremely good release too. I only like half the tracks on hallucinogen in dub, though these ones are *amazing* (the first half). At this very point in time I think I'd have to rate them :- 1. Blumenkraft (Cos I've been in an ethnic chillout mood recently) 2. Hallucinogen in dub (When I'm not tuned in to the indiany ethnic vibe) 3. Flock of bleeps (When I want something a bit more psy-trancey) And they all are really really top releases! Quote
