I remember being a kid and walking on the streets in NY and seeing these guys with a boombox spread a carton on the floor and start makin some moves hehe it seemed SOOOO cool at the time :) Looking back, most of the music was crap but every once and then there's still one or other pretty nice track. BTW this is where it all started, artists were for the first time making music ONLY by using the legendary 303, 808 and 909 :)

Mantronix was awesome. I scooped up some of his stuff years ago from this bin under the counter in a record store which is no longer here in Zagreb.

Great producer, huge impact on both thr hip hop culture and the electronic music scene, although there were guys way before him rocking the equipment you listed. My picks:
