technosomy
hi i just introduced it to a friend of mine and was absolutley blown away by it, can't think of anything else like it as they want more any ideas? thanks
psytones
I guess, but can't really come up with a suggestion atm. Did you know: That if you play the track with the Yeti mushroom samples in sync with the video of the original conference about shamanic use of drugs (can’t remember the name of the vid, the guys name or synching now, anyone .. ?) you will get a very cool experience? Mattman, a member on this board showed it to me one high night, I was obviously blown away. Like syncing dark Side of the Moon with Wizard of Oz kind of thing. *never done that, will have to one day! peace ~:^)
pixma
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rU-1yYyPjCc here's the link to the video There is two volumes in the "Mystery of the yeti" series. These three albums is what comes closest to the yeti series: Celtic Cross - Hicksville Shpongle - Are you Shpongled? The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences
psyhoe
i would also like some more titles. can't really think of anything similar myself. i wouldnt say Shpongle or Celtic Cross, its not the same mood. Mystery of the Yeti is an accoustic journey, a trip, a tale, not just music. the only thing that comes to my mind is: Der Weltensegler - Der Weltensegler http://www.discogs.com/Der-Weltensegler-Der-Weltensegler/release/371542 but its only something for the german speaking ppl here as there is a lot spoken there. i can really recommend this one, totally mind-manipulating, twisted psychedelic stuff. maybe also the track Jörg On Mushroom - The Messenger http://www.discogs.com/Shidapu-Feat-SST--J%C3%B6rg-On-Mushroom-Easy-Going-The-Messenger/release/38663 for me its an accoustic version of a mushroom trip. best track ever maybe also: The Mystery Of The Thirteen Crystal Skulls and The Secret Of The Thirteen Crystal Skulls
abasio
Nothing really compares however when I think of MOTY I also think of the following as having similar ambient journey qualities; The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences Adham Shaikh - Journey To The Sun Biosphere - Substrata Dub Trees - Nature Never Did Betray The Heart That Loved Her The Kumba Mela Experiment - East Of The River Ganges
JISNEGRO
Maybe this one : http://www.discogs.com/Various-Eclipse-A-Journey-Of-Permanence-Impermanence/release/77537 But like has been already said, there is nothing tha really compares to Yeti. Trolsk
I agree with the recommendation of: Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? Future Sound of London - Lifeforms The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences Celtic Cross - Hicksville (Remastered and Expanded Deluxe Edition) The other recommendations are mostly great albums but lack the voyage quality of the Mystery of the Yeti album. I would also like to add another great voyage album to the recommendations: Tone Tales from Tomorrow, mixed by DJ Coldcut. A deep and beautiful experience. If you like it, you might also want to try the follow up album Tone Tales from Tomorrow Too. I think of the Mystery of the Yeti as a deep and introvert journey, and my final recommendation is the opposite of that, a blissful and extrovert journey, : Irresistible Force, The - It's Tomorrow Already.
