Guest --==1400MiLeS==-- Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 The famous Blueroom label is back in into music business after they shift focus to speakers only (the ultra stylish Minipod). The new label will be called Blueroomtribal. Blueroom was once home to probably the most succesful psyact ever, Juno Reactor that is quickly gaining popularity worldwide due to their superb contributions to blockbuster 'The Matrix Returns' and 'the Animatrix'. Classic Blueroom Albums: The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences (1995) Etnica - Alien Protein (1996) Total Eclipse Violent Relaxation (1996) Saafi Brothers - Mystic Cigarettes (1997) X-Dream - Radio (1998) Lets hope they can bring some magic back into the scene which is pretty lacklustre at the moment... Guest Hallucinogenious Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 Blueroom is back ????? YEAAAAAAAAAHHH it was the label with the best releases .... Quote
Guest Hallucinogenious Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 www.blueroom.co.uk -> MELT ??? wtf ? I can only identify Juno Reactor there (and there's also Greg Hunter ...) Quote
Guest Hallucinogenious Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 i found also http://www.blueroomusa.com which says nothing ... Quote
Guest --==1400MiLeS==-- Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 Link=http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php?topic=17010&forum=41&2 But I am getting a bit suspicious...the email is South African whereas Blueroom is a UK label...Could be a hoax... Melt is a Blueroom sublabel specialised in etnic stuff so Blueroom wasn't that dead after all... My apologies if the rumors aren't true... Quote
Guest --==1400MiLeS==-- Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 To my surprise the whole Melt label thing is South African too...So maybe...Ah well... Quote
Guest ukiro Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 M.E.L.T. is not a sublabel of blueroom, rather it's vice versa - Blueroom was aquired by M.E.L.T. after B&W speakers (parent company of blueroom speakers from before the label was formed) pulled out in 1998. But then it seems M.E.L.T. didn't find it worth the effort to continue running Blue Room, so it was put on hold. I'm unsure if there was ever a bankrupcy declared, but I know chaos unlimited (chaosunlimited.co.uk) got ahold of a lot of old releases from the old blueroom archives around (the year) 2000 or so. that COULD indicate there was a bankrupcy. This is all based on my own conclusions from what I've heard from people with inside info and facts gathered from album covers etc. Quote
Guest spacemonkey Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 the south african connection was rumored before when bleu room went "out". if i remember corectly there was talk of blue room going away and returening in a new south african form, so that the rumor could be true. hope it is, blue room was/is one of the best labels out there. Guest TjT Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 The owner robert trunz had good connections in africa hence the whole melt 2000/electric melt thing which was originally set up as part of B+W speakers. i think his wife was african? I think you will find that the blueroom stopped releasing rather than went bankrupt. if they come back to life that would be great news. Quote
