Guest D N H
Here's the news i received from Virtual... Hi folks Well after a bit of a break Virtual and Ishq are back now for a while. We have just made available in our shop 2 x new cd releases. Ishq - fluid earth When we released 'Orchid' as an album on Interchill records it was also released as a 2 cd limited edition on Dakini records in Japan and throughout asia. Many people are unaware of the 2nd cd or this version of Orchid and so we are making the 2nd cd from the Dakini release available on a seperate cd of its own as an album called ' Fluid Earth ' which was to be its name originally when we wrote the tracks. You will find a demo montage from the album here http://music.hyperre.../ishq03demo.mp3 Elve - Emerald The second release is a full length album on Virtual by ' Elve ' , one of the Ishq alter egos and called ' Emerald ' and the 4th release in the Virtualworld series. The album follows on from the first Elve album and is a continuous ambient soundscape which could be said to have a more tropical feel than the last Elve album. If the first album ' Infinite garden' was set in the english countryside then this one is set in a tropical rainforest or to that effect. There is a direct link to a demo montage here http://music.hyperre...04/Vr04demo.mp3 As with all the Virtualworld series of releases the album was written with immersive headphone listeners in mind and sounds best on high definition headphones or hi fi systems .It probably not best to describe this as ambient chill as the idea is to create moments of slight intensity aswell as moments of release in these works and so expect a ride .Its invocative music really and also more about painting a landscape with sound and stimulating the senses aswell as chilling them. For full details on these 2 releases including nice art scans please see the blog below . http://v-i-r-t-u-a-l.blogspot.com/ To buy the albums direct please visit our shop here. http://music.hyperre...rtual/shop.html All the cd's we sell are glass mastered cd's and with 4 page art booklets and released in limited editions of 500 copies. These albums are only available via our website for the current time . The future - Virtual Our intention was to release 'Magik square of the moon' and another Virtualworld release before these 2 above but we felt we needed to do some more work on those and also release them in the darker winter months and so they are coming up in the future. Our next release on Virtual and out in a few weeks is ' Ishq - Skyspaces ' , an album of deep meditative totally chilled ambient works and the first release in the ' Virtual light ' series. As always we have a alot of other albums in progress so expect much more including some collaborative releases with a couple of people and also one or 2 ultra limited and rather unusual collectors releases. The future - Ishq As mentioned on our blog a full length album of Ishq ambient tracks is to be released on Electronic Soundscapes record label in september. http://www.electronicsoundscapes.com/ The album is completed , mastered and ready for release so please keep an eye out for that if your into the sound of Ishq's more melodic music. The future - Mps / flac / Wavs We are currently working and uploading to a new ftp space our entire catalogue as Wav / 24bit flac / 320kbps mp3 and also working on a free ftp area there but if you need any digital files now rather than cd please email. All digital releases will feature full album artwork in 300dpi files . Thats it folks and until then we hope you like the new music and have a happy summer or whats left of it ........ ps : Please note the Virtual web address has changed to .net rather than .com www.ishq.org www.v-i-r-t-u-a-l-w-o-r-l-d.net
Guest D N H
Also Virtual is making an effort to rerelease its first 2 albums, Ishvara and Elve. But what is discouraging for such an effort, is the possibility of very little demand for the repress. Hope to see more and good inspired releases from Virtual coming. psytimeofmylife
Good news! I also hope to see Ishvara and Elve rereleased, since I couldn't buy them the first time!
