Bog Planet 4. Far Well Ektoplazm link (download it here) Discogs link Mac Mavis' first album Fresh Tracks (1998) was one of early album releases on later famed Finish label Exogenic Records, which showcased Mac's unique approach to the chilled side of psychedelic trance culture. Mac Mavis has ventured far since then and has in moved more into the realm of ambient starting with his album Gatefinder (2003) and Reports From The Lake (2009) released on Exogengic and Russian ambient label Faria Records respectively. Keywords: Dream; Organic; Space. Boglander takes us on journey through the shifting cosmic lights of the ionosphere and down trough cloudy organic troposphere and finally we are taken back into deep space from where we came. A wonderful journey of a track fills my head with mental aurora… Locust Trap a more organic track, digging through the soil of the rainforest, life seems to be seeping out of every crevasse that is exposed. A very lush and organic ambient track. Bog Planet is a beautiful place, quite unlike our origin! The track is deep and crunchy picking up energy on the way becoming a pulsating journey through an alien but yet familiar environment, great track! Reminds me a bit of some tracks from Villalobos' hand or released on Cadenza. Far Well is taking us back to an ambient soundscape, with dreamy clouds and cosmic sunsets, leaving the alien planet behind us. A very nice way to finish this four track journey into space and back! Sum: Great EP! If you like ambient, downbeat be sure to check this one out, or you will be missing out on one of those free gems! - Highly recommended!
