Lemmiwinks Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 well, if someone would put a gun at my head and force me to chose, then it's be 1. Deviant Species - Quest for Bajolax 2. Shiva Chandra - Gecko 3. Atmos - Headcleaner 4. MOS - Drive 5. Etnica - Chrome (that counts as minimal, right?) SMI²LE Quote
Guest Drat Mafia Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Phony Orphants - Symphony Ticon - Aero Krumelur - Minimal Animal Prisoners of the Sun - Are you Scientific Enough? Paste - Blow Out boom shankar Quote
Guest Setsuko Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 1. Son Kite - Perspectives Of ... 2. Atmos - Headcleaner 3. Ticon - Aero 4. Human Blue - Electric Roundabout 5. Reefer Decree - Soundframes but there are many other jewels around , like Vibrasphere Lime Structures ... very deep groove and extreme phuturistic tribal vibes ... still growing on me every time I listen to it ... Guest necro Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 1) atmos- Headcleaner. 2) huxflux- cryptic crunch (counts as minimal i think) 3) noma- Navigator 4) ticon- rewind 5) magnetrixx- trittschall Quote
Guest Al-Khaberta Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Although minimal is not my favourite, there are some quite good albums IMO... 1) Beat Bizarre - Lewd 2) Prisoners Of The Sun - Are You Scientific Enough? 3) Krumelur - Minimal Animal 4) Alegria - Phonogen And I personally don't percieve MOS, Ticon and Deviant Species as minimal cuz they can get hard & stomping, almost like fullon except without so much nosiy effects and minimal is more like milder & "tinyer"... but of course that's my personal impression only. Boom... Quote
Järsimähäiriö Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Nobody mentioned "Double Dragon - Continuum" yet? Won't get into naming TOP-5. Quote
Guest :P Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 1.reefer decree - sound frames 2.ethnobotany (i know it's compilation but it deserves to be here) 3.atmos - headcleaner 4.phony orphants - symphony 5.timetech - notes the main reason because i don't put here electric roundabout (by far one of my 5 favorite albums forever) is that ER is not minimal ;p just listen to reefer decree and then to carpe diem or memorexis...the difference is really big anyway if you still want to call human blue minimal...then i put it on 1st place here Quote
Guest Navigator Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 in no particular order: Genetic Spin - On/Off - funky, groovy, absolute favorite right now, killer release! Ticon- Aero - evolved mature sound, good Segment - 01 - very good Noma - Navigator, 'minimal' madness :-) Beat Bizarre - Lewd I'd like to name Bitmonx although he hasn't produced an album yet still one of my all time favorites, listen to 'Renoiser' and you will know what I mean.. Guest Mike D Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 Easy: 1.Spirallianz - Stereopark 2.Midi Miliz - Antistat 3.The Delta - Send In...Send Back 4.Clangour (Is compilation but flows like a wicked album) 5.Sensient - ALbum (Unreleased but he has given me an unmastered copy, is brilliant if you like Krumelur you'll love this!!) Quote
Järsimähäiriö Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 Well fook me if Midi Miliz, Spirallianz, The Delta & the likes qualify as minimal, and Clangour is purely psychedelic techno. Listen to "Neser D.N.A. - My name is bruise" and then listen to "Son Kite - Where's my drum". Similar? No bloody way. Ahh but who cares about the genres anyway. Quote
fosku Posted July 11, 2003 Posted July 11, 2003 son kite - perspectives of... beat bizarre - lewd krumelur - minimal animal the delta - send in send back ticon - rewind btw... no bloody way does cryptic crunch count as minimal! Quote
