Guest kingdok Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 Thanks for the enlightening, inspiring, adrenalized mix, obu! This is EXACTLY the kind of DJing I'm hoping to emulate in my own mixes. Well done, sir! Quote
Guest kingdok Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 I think I'm most impressed by the way you kept the mix moving, never waiting for the track playing to fully wind down before bringing in the next. I'm guilty of that when I mix -- I'm so paranoid that if I mix in too early, I'll be caught offguard by some unexpected breakdown and the mix'll sound awkward. Instead I play it "safe", oftentimes at the expense of the mix's momentum. You manage to pull off some cool stunts without having too much ballistic stuff going at once...it's really a masterful thing to behold. Quote
Guest Navigator Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 Your mixing is good but way too much GMS/Alien Project SHIT for my taste.... Quote
Guest Lars/Mindfly Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 Hey... Very cool mix indeed....I was actually about to start producing this evening, and had planned to just do a fast preview of your mix, but now I don't want to turn it off....grr...so wont be doing anything for the next 71 minutes...grr I blame YOU! Cheers mate, keep up the good work... Lars Quote
Anoebis Posted July 9, 2003 Posted July 9, 2003 Mixing quality very good, music choice is rather bad... How can anyone play more then 1-2 tracks from the same artist? To make things more interesting, play more things then just GMS/Alien P. and clones! Quote
Guest chris Posted July 9, 2003 Posted July 9, 2003 uiuiui, this really great. as a dj i would agree with anoebis don't play more than 2 tracks of one artist. but within a party I don't bloody f*cking care about if the story is good and the building is perfect. and that's what we have here imho. great work chris Quote
Guest obu Posted July 9, 2003 Posted July 9, 2003 i thought the same way about the tracks, a little shameless i know, but none the less, this is not a mix i had the time to plan out...i basically sat down and 81mins later i had this...its completely dancefloor oriented so it is a bit much, next time me think a little bit more..hehe.... but thanks guys for the comments ....really apperciate them.... Guest Alek Posted July 11, 2003 Posted July 11, 2003 Thank you Obu!!! The mix is great and all, but I finally know the name of the track that's been in my head for sime time now.... Melicia - Experience! Quote
Guest jyxx Posted July 16, 2003 Posted July 16, 2003 ... dear obu, and how's about tracklists to dj nutz sets? :-) Quote
